Didn't want to give 1 but this is really 1.5. WHAT happened to this place? We have been here before and found the food to be very good, service to be either good or fair. Hubs ordered the cream of carrot soup but we did not want any appetizers. We waited but the soup never came. After 20 minutes the entrees arrived and I asked the server where my husband's soup was. The reaction was "oh, THEY didn't bring?" They?? She was the server and it is her job to ensure items arrive at the table in a timely manner. I ordered the broccoli and there is a $2.50 upcharge, which I accepted. The broccoli was mostly stems with a mix of green and yellowing florets. Not worthy of an upcharge. My flounder was very fishy tasting and the saffron rice was not even to a level of pilaf. Hubby's sevilla special was mediocre and not worth the price attached. Server asked the table next to us if they wanted more bread which caused me to look at their bread basket, which had the same amount of bread in it as ours did, yet we were never asked if we desired more bread. We have had some 4 star/5 star experiences and nothing less than a 3 in the past. What happened? Not worth the prices and the service was poor. On top of everything we arrived for our 5:00 reservation and were told we made a reservation for 7. I was right next to my husband when he made the reservation and he definitely said (and repeated) 5:00. The place was half empty when we arrived (AND when we left ) so why the push back on THEIR mistake and the pinched faces they made when we were at the desk. They wrote down the wrong time, not us. Overall, so many small issues but flounder tasting really fishy and my husband's soup being brought after the entree arrived is unacceptable. No intention to return. Shaking my head and truly wondering what happened to the quality of this establishment. I just recommended the place to a colleague earlier in the week but I will send her a follow up text to rescind my recommendation and suggest she look elsewhere--there are lots of...
Read moreFirst, I want to say the staff was very nice. We had a 2:00 reservation for five people (four adults and one child). When we arrived, we were seated immediately. The restaurant was not crowded, but after we ordered, we had to wait over forty minutes for our food. The server did apologize for the delay. When he finally brought out our food, he didn't bring out our four year old's dinner (cheeseburger & fries). After waiting five minutes after the adults received their food, the server came to the table, apologized and said his "chicken tenders" will be out soon. So, not only did we have to wait almost an hour, the order was incorrect. Since our four year old didn't want chicken, we had to wait even longer for his cheeseburger. When it did come out, I cut it in half and found it was raw; not rare, it was cold and completely raw! When we showed the server, he actually said "eww". We told him, we couldn't wait any long and to just cancel his meal. Although my ribs were completely dried out and my four year old's cheeseburger was raw, everyone else said their meal was good. I've never been to a restaurant where they serve the child/children last; they are usually served first or at least at the same time as the adult's meal. This was our first and last time...
Read moreWe have had dinner a handful of times here. We always make reservations. They are needed, as seating is limited. It does get tight in there, so if that is not your thing, check them out for lunch or weeknight. That's the only downside to point out. However, some of the best restaurants are cozy, like 3 Flags. What I like about 3 Flags is their unique variety in their menu. Their bourbon salmon is very tasty and well portioned. Seafood paella was also very good. My husband enjoyed the filet mignon that he was able to cook on a stone. That was a fun experience. The grilled chicken caeser salad is the only salad we have tried so far. It was again, tasty. We also recently tried doordash delivery. Delivery was fast. For well-made large meals, the meals were packaged well for delivery. So, we will be ordering delivery again. All in all, I just wanted to give an overall general review for some of the meals we had. We will be sure to post pictures for our next order. Place is byob as well. Lastly, the menu has so much more and always takes some time to decide what to order, variety!! At some point, we love to try their Italian menu, cheesesteaks, burgers, and more salads. We will be back. 3 Flags is a great addition to...
