Amazing Food, Atmosphere, and Service! Pine Tar Bar and Grill is hands-down one of the best spots for food and drinks in Lacey! Their menu has a great variety, from juicy burgers to fresh seafood. I tried the French Dip, and it was cooked to perfection. The bar offers an excellent selection of craft beers and cocktails, making it a great place for happy hour or a casual night out. The atmosphere is cozy with just the right mix of energy and relaxation. The staff is super friendly and attentive—they make you feel like family. Whether you're here to watch the game on their big screens or enjoy a meal with friends, Pine Tar Bar and Grill never disappoints. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious food, great drinks, and a welcoming vibe. Definitely a go-to spot in Forked River!

Food is pricey with zero flavor executed by rookie Chef Ray. Macaroni & Cheese balls are disgusting bland frozen balls. The penne vodka was overcooked & tasteless. Frozen quesadillas, bottled blue cheese, awful disco fries, too thick of cut on the pork roll on the sandwich as if I'm eating a ham steak. Also bottled ranch, bottled beer cheese nachos that are both terrible. You seriously gotta get drunk before eating here. Decent fries & chicken wings are basically the only edible items on the menu. Just a bland tasteless menu. A sports bar on Sunday on game day and there's a bunch of open seats at the bar & the dining room didn't even have a soul in it that alone should've made me turn away.

The service is good...Getting food out was kind of slow though (about 27min for 2 burgers & a chicken sandwich). The burgers were great, flavored very well and the pretzel bun was perfect. I don't think I would order the Bambino again, as it was extremely dry and the bread was a rock. The fries were excellent, crispy and delicious. I would go here again, In fact the only thing I was displeased with was the atmosphere. Way way too much going on. It doesn't give it a sports bar feel, it's more like a sports flea market. Also, the floors aren't finished in the dining section which just feels dirty. Other than that it's a solid 4*

The food here is fantastic; we've only been here twice, but have been very satisfied both times. If you like wings, you've GOT to try the Chipotle Buffalo - smoked. These are probably the juiciest wings I've ever eaten, and taste amazing. The cheesesteak is a monster of a sandwich, and the pretzel burger is also fantastic - both have a unique sweet onion taste. I'm rating the venue 4 stars instead of 5 because of the following: after reviewing the bill, I noticed some erroneous charges that left a bad taste in my mouth. We were charged an additional $1.50 because we asked for extra blue cheese to accompany the wings...and $.50 for a side of mayo with the cheesesteak. Really? This is a basic condiment that many people enjoy on burgers, cheesesteaks and the like. It should just be available. Then there was a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. Many businesses are starting to do this, and I don't agree with it. Sorry, it's the cost of doing business. But like many things, they now pass it along to the consumer. Biggest problem with the whole ordeal was that the server didn't advise of these charges; she was sweet enough, but didn't say a word about any additional charges. So the takeaway is this: cool place, great atmosphere, fantastic food. My complaints won't stop me from going again. But I'll have a pocket full of cash, and I'll be asking if I'm going to be charged...

Stopped in for dinner on 4/4/23. This was our second time at Pine Tar. The first experience wasn’t great but we wanted to give a local business another try. I am in restaurant management and try not to judge an establishment based on one bad experience. That being said, the server was below average. Our server did not know the menu at all. We asked for brisket and ribs and were told they didn’t have them. We then attempted to order 2 other items with no luck. We settled on cheeseburgers and an order of smoked wings. My burger lacked flavor and was rare.(not medium well as I requested) Fries and wings were good. Our server had about 2 other tables at one point and we had to get her attention each time we needed a drink or anything at all. (The glass my water was in was dirty on the inside when given to me) But I have to say the worst part of this horrible dining experience was when the bartender turned the lights off over our table and in the dining area. It was 7:45pm. I understand it is also a bar but would have been nice to see what we were eating. Do...

Got there the week they got their liquor license. Seated right away, ordered drinks and wings . Came out good time and good flavor. The ordered a dinner & sandwich. Took 40 min for them to come out, waitress kept coming over to apologize for the delay saying the kitchen is not use to the crowd, well maybe if the owner would jump in the kitchen instead of walking around the front of house changing channels on the TVs and chatting with buddies it may ease the strain. Food finally came out.. chix sandwich was average not hot medium warm but daughter just wanted to eat and not wait any longer, chicken savoy was decent, they claimed it was Stretches recipe from the Belmont, they better recheck that thou.. wasn't bad, but it wasn't Belmont style. UPDATE:: was going to give them another shot then I read the reply from owner on the review from Cristy Rayment about it being so bright in there.( reply down below..). here was his reply...

"Response from the owner3 weeks ago Just sit in your house alone in the dark"

Great way to attract customers. Scratch...
