We have been ordering from Anthony’s since 1/2016 and never had an issue but this review is for the principal and false advertising. We order dinners or large pies & have it delivered. Never really question the bill because usually runs $25 for mushrooms & chicken pizza or more for dinners. Today ordered a medium pie, white sauce instead of red, chicken & mushrooms. Came to $22.20, I asked why so much for medium pie. Answer was -we order white instead of red & 2 toppings PLUS a $2.65 delivery fee to cover the insurance on the driver. Said I never paid a delivery fee before & your menu says free delivery. They said they just changed it recently. I hung up & checked their website because that’s an easy fix for them to change quick if they made adjustments to their menu. Website says free delivery. Called back & the girl puts someone else on who says she’s a senior employee, can I help you. Explained how I never paid delivery, she says the free delivery is only for businesses and the new menu that they recently revised doesn’t mention free delivery, it’s only on the old menu. I told her the website says FREE delivery. She said she’s worked there prior to 2016 and it was never free. I explained to them there’s a problem dating back prior to 2016 called false advertising so for the principal, I choose to cancel my order. She says ok, hangs up and called me back apologizing because she doesn’t have the authority to take the delivery charge off only the owner can & after speaking with him they’re able to take it off. I said I appreciate the call back and apology so I will continue with the order. It was delivered without the fee but no mushrooms. So many pizzeria in this area and Anthony’s has shown me- it’s time...
Read moreA Disappointing Decline at Anthony’s Pizzeria
I have never felt compelled to leave a negative review before, but my recent experience with Anthony’s Pizzeria on Route 9 in Lacey, attached to the 7-Eleven, has unfortunately changed that.
We ordered a large pizza with extra cheese — and paid accordingly — but what we received more closely resembled a thin, round tortilla lightly sprinkled with cheese. It was not only underwhelming, but also devoid of the saucy substance one would expect from a proper pizza.
Regrettably, this experience is not an isolated incident. Over time, we've observed a noticeable decline in quality and consistency. Staff turnover appears high, with new and seemingly untrained high school employees cycling through regularly. This lack of continuity and oversight has clearly impacted the product and the service.
This latest experience was the final straw. Anthony’s Pizzeria has, unfortunately, lost our patronage. I share this review not out of spite, but as a caution to others who may be considering dining here. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works toward restoring the quality and reliability that once made this establishment a...
Read moreWent in for my first time, checked the menu before hand since one got delivered in our mailbox. I order a wrap, I got asked if I wanted fries, I said well it comes with fries or a side salad, the cashier said well the fries is an up charge, I replied with but on the menu it says different, then another person behind the counter said well you can get the wrap just by its self, in that moment I should’ve told them NEVERMIND AND WALKED OUT. I got the food and was charged extra for the fries, I’ll never be returning and giving them my business! On the menu for wraps/panini’s it states ‘served with fries or salad’ nothing about an up charge! So you charge 13.50 just for the wrap/panini and extra for fries or a salad. They need to RE-WORD it on their menu. The wrap was very good I got the boom boom chicken but I will not give someone my business that screws over customers and charges more then they should, should honor whats on...
