The restaurant apparently discriminates against elderly customers. We have been going to the Lacey Washington location for years and years for different occasions but will not be going back. We went Saturday May 11th for an early Mother’s days dinner. My 80 year old 4’9” tall 90 pound grandmother has ALWAYS ordered something off of the kids menu there and we have never had an issue. The Ram does not have a senior menu with less portions. This last visit Brit our waitress advised that she was not able to order off the kids menu because she is over 12 and she could order the two piece fish off the adult menu. There was no explanation, no kindness or understanding, just a rude short response. Working in customer service my entire career I know if something cannot be done you still should be kind. I was extremely troubled especially after this large plate of food came and I saw my grandmothers look of anxiety. I went upfront and asked to speak to the manager. Tears in my eyes I explained to him how hard this is for her and we have never had an issue in the past. I explained we would pay the higher amount but just wanted her to feel at ease. He went on to explain that what she had ordered, fish and chips, the only difference between the adult and kids was no tiny cup of coleslaw and less fries. That is when I got more upset. If that was the difference why was it not explained? I advised him that had we had that simple explanation of the difference. After I explained that this information was failed to be mentioned the manager said he would take care of things and apologized. After that we heard nothing. I didn’t ask for money off the bill but he said he would take care of that. Once we got the bill nothing was changed. Why did the manager let me know “things would be handled” but nothing was handled? The main competition in the area is Hawks Prairie who has a senior menu and Red Robin who lets her order off the kids menu since they do not have a senior menu. If you choose to not accommodate the elderly you should be able to make exceptions for and work with the customers to find a...
Read moreThis really sucks to write, I’ve been going to this restaurant with my friends for over a year now with little to no difficulty and excellent service if something does go wrong, but last night we went and our waitress was sassy and inattentive, rolling her eyes when we asked for something, just altogether quite rude. That would’ve been fine, we all have off days and I understand that. What really topped it off though was my friend getting the chicken sandwich where the chicken inside was completely raw. (My macaroni order was messed up too, and he got fries instead of chips which, again, is way more understandable). What really pushed this review was the lady who ran the food, though. She seemed very sweet but when we told her about the raw chicken, she had offered to remake it, but because my friend’s appetite was understandably ruined he had said no, and she had said “are you sure? We’re insanely bored back there.”
Now I have no idea if she was being sarcastic or not but even if she was, she knew she already had to bring my Mac and cheese back because it was wrong, so why?? Would you say that to someone who just took a massive bite into completely raw chicken? How are you so bored that you completely messed up an order? Blue red meat I understand, but you don’t play with raw chicken.
To top it all off, we received our check as normal and I had to ask them to comp the raw chicken. As if I was going to pay for something we didn’t eat and ruined my friends appetite.
It sucks because we used to go here literally all of the time but because of this one experience we may not ever go again. My hope is that this place changes up their staff or gives them some sort of training on dealing with customers in...
Read moreHubby wanted to do date night and left it up to me on where we should go to eat. I'm all about trying new places we haven't been to if we can so I'm glad we visited Ram for dinner! The food was so good, the place was nice and the service was wonderful.
We were greeted by a friendly hostess and led to a booth (we love sitting in booths together). Our waitress Sam was nice and patient with us while we were deciding what we'd like to eat (whenever we visit a place we've never been to before we take awhile to look over the menu but Sam was extremely patient and gave us time and answered all questions we had to help us narrow down our decisions).
Their menu has a really good amount of options to choose from. My husband ordered the Hefeweizen beer and really liked the taste of it. For our food, we decided to go with some mac and cheese to share (we added pork belly, sausage, and bacon; each meat add on is a couple bucks each), my husband got the Santa Fe Rodeo Smash Burger (unfortunately they were out of smash patties but they gave him wagyu which he always likes), and I got the Focaccia Club with tater tots (small upcharge for upgrading to tots).
Our food was so delicious, flavorful, plentiful in portion size and at just the right temperature. We were able to save a bit when the bill came since they offer military discount, thank you for supporting our service members! We'll definitely have to return here again in the future and bring some...
