I keep coming in for the margaritas and a place to work on my laptop and although I haven't ordered anything I've liked on the menu, and sometime no one is there to greet you at the door for a while, they have a few servers there that are really sweet and attentive and I think they deserve a shout out or mention, Marisol was super sweet, attentive and has a great attitude, she checked in on me, and left me be while I was working, she just seems like a gem. Marcella is a sweetheart too. It would be nice if someone was there when you walked in, and sat you, which lately for whatever reason has not been the case, must be short staffed, but they do have some good staff on board
Edit-turns out that they have some good servers and some not so good. I was conducting some work business and my client ordered a MEDIUM margarita, double. She was served a large margarita, which is the size of a fishbowl. We tried to flag the waitress down when it was first delivered but they were busy and never checked on us. When the bill came they charged $30 for a large margarita. I simply asked about it, because the client ordered a medium and the price seemed excessive. I was met with a very aggressive attitude and was told it should have actually been $10 more?! And that their only mistake was not charging enough. Look, I’m not a Karen, I’ve been a server and a bartender, I simply asked about it because the wrong size was delivered. I wasn’t rude, I didn’t demand a credit, I just asked. It was just super poor customer service and now I’m not sure if I feel comfortable going back there. Too bad. The other ladies are great though. Too bad they weren’t there.
I don’t believe the bs that the customer is always right, but I do believe in kindness and good service. Years ago I used to come here all the time for work meetings, pre Covid, now it’s hit and miss, I don’t know what happened to their establishment but I wish they would...
Read moreVery nice atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful plants; but that's where the positives end. This place has gone downhill fast.
Ordering was a nightmare. Apparently, everything has to be exactly as specified on the menu. We asked for some small substitutions, and were told no problem, only for them to come back later and tell us it will not be possible unless we just add a second order and double the price of our meal. We were told that everything has to fit perfectly into the computer, so customization is not possible.
Also, apparently a veggie enchilada is not an option unless you get that as the specific meal. Having any sort of combo-meal with an enchilada can only include certain types (not specified on menu). So opted to just make it easy and go with the cheese enchilada, with black beans and white rice. Instead, received a sliver of melted cheese underneath the wrong kind of beans and the wrong kind of rice. No seasoning, no sauce, no flavor.
You will pay $20+ for some melted cheese buried beneath the wrong kind of beans. My family got the various meat enchiladas, and their experience wasn't much better.
Servers were fine. This is mostly not their fault. But, they were far from polite; and acted like they were just eager to get us out the door.
I have frequented dozens of Mexican restaurants in 6 different states this year alone; and have been easily pleased by all of them; except this one. Would not recommend. To say this is the most poorly managed such establishment in the country, might not be a stretch. It was so far below the basic quality standards I have come to expect from places costing less than...
Read moreWe used to come here often and loved the food and service. I understand times are hard since COVID. However, today will be the last time we are patrons of this restaurant. We ordered Carne Asada tacos on Mother's Day. My daughter in-laws plate had bugs squished into the avocado. When we showed them they took the plate to the kitchen. I completely lost my appetite seeing as my avocados didn't look any better so I sent my plate back. They made my daughter in laws plate again. She felt the need to take the avocado off and inspect her food. She tried to eat some of the meat. Our check came and they had both of our meals on there! Seriously, mine went back with one bite. Then when we asked to talk to the manager, she came out and got mad at me for asking that my plate be taken off the bill. Her response was that times are hard for them right now, and she will take care of the bill. The manager sent the waitress back with the revised bill removing both of our meals and then took her food that she had in a to-go container as well when she laid the check down. Never in my life, have I ever experienced such horrible service. This is all after we were seated at our table for 35 minutes before I asked the bus person if someone was coming to our table. The waitress told me oops sorry, no one told me you were here. Do not go to this place and if you do then be prepared to check your plate or don't be surprised if you get a food-borne illness. Eat at your own risk! Puerto Vallarta on Galaxy...
