My husband and I went to try it out for the first time today, and it was okay. My husband was happy they had sushi, but at the time they didn't have a lot out. The crab legs weren't very good and were cold. Also the chicken wrapped in bacon looked as if the bacon wasn’t cooked much. The rest of the food was okay though. When you go in they get you seated quickly and ask for what drinks you want then leave you alone to get your food. We were checked in on to get refills and then our ticket without having to ask for it. I wrote this review earlier today and am updating it. We will not be going back as I ended up with food poisoning and have been throwing up.

This place is big and is hard to find. There is no sign indicating the type of food served. I was greeted warmly at the door and given a pass to join my family I came to dine with. The food fresh entrees were slow to be put out. I enjoyed the meal. The service made me feel as if I was disturbing their peace. I wasn't comfortable with asking for drinks or directions to the restroom. I felt our server hated his job snd didn't want to be there. I overlooked the server snd enjoyed the time spent with my family. I won't go back .

This place was actually better then my local Chinese buffet. The food was tastier and lots of selection. I'll list pros/cons below. Pros: -Tasty Food -Staff ensured my cup was full (beverage) -Variety -Pretty waterfall -Price -A1 Sauce -Mongolian/sushi bar Cons: -Soy sauce hidden in back. Had to ask someone -Some temps on food were kind of cold -Outdated Decor Overall, I would definitely go here again. Not unhappy with visit when you compare the pros/cons. We were a party of 3. 2 adults/1 6 year old. Spent $54

Okay, brutally honest review coming. I live in Olympia. I've eaten at this location numerous times...but not because I love it as much as for the pure convenience. I live only a mile away. They have a large banquet room that can be used for MASSIVE groups. My family used that room after a parent's funeral.

I'm just going to skip to the important part...the food. My family is split on sushi. Half of us love it, half of us don't. I don't. So I've never even tried their sushi. However, it is universally agreed upon within my immediate family that their sushi is really quite good, well above average. Unfortunately, I can't confirm or deny this.

Outside of the sushi, be prepared to be disappointed. They do have a grill station for their Mongolian BBQ and meat. FYI they offer steak and beef short ribs only with dinner, not lunch. For me, those are the only offerings in the entire restaurant that are decent, not great, but decent. I really like a good Mongolian BBQ (like Harvest Buffet offers up in Tacoma). The one here is absolutely pathetic. Very few options. They have some oodong noodles, broccoli, chicken/beef, sprouts, jalapenos, and eggs. I'm probably forgetting a few things, but it's really limited. The beef and chicken for the BBQ sits in a metal container on ice, and is the most unappealing looking protein I've seen. The meats are less solid, and more like a congealed liquid. I just...can't. It doesn't resemble food. So I've never attempted the BBQ, despite my innate love for good Mongolian BBQ.

When I go for Chinese, particularly buffet style, I'm mostly interested in their deep-fried, battered offerings. Things like sweet and sour chicken, General Tso's, orange chicken, as well as things like a good chow mein and egg rolls, and sometimes some fried rice. This place really fails at all of those. Their meats are always WAY overcooked, the flavors are bland and frankly not what one expects. Even if you rarely get things stuck in your teeth, you will here. The meats are all hard and stringy. I know better, but always put one of their awful egg rolls on my plate. Even drowned in soy sauce, I can hardly choke them down.

They used to have a soft serve ice cream machine which made up for their bland dessert offerings, but they ditched it a couple of years ago. Now they have some generic pre-packed ice cream cups (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry). My kids like it, but anyone with a discerning palate won't.

Their sweet and sour sauce tastes like nothing more than watered-down corn syrup with red food coloring--in fact, I'd bet money that's exactly what it is.

I've learned over the past 15 years or so to avoid most of their entrees and stick with the fresh fruits, and foods you would usually feed kids. They have pizza and jojos, and if I go at lunch, I'm mostly eating these types of things.

As far as service goes, they have always been quick to seat you, refill your drinks (Pepsi, not Coke), and get your check when requested. But don't expect any small talk, they are not chatty or friendly. This is a wham, bam, thank-you-ma'mm kind of experience. Eat up, and make room for the next sucker.

In summation, the pros are: if you go at dinner service, you will have access to their steak and short ribs; sushi is respectable. Their fresh fruits are just fine--usually ripe, kept chilled. The cons are numerous. The entrees are not of the quality a frequent Chinese buffet flyer might expect. Their chow mein and fried rice are WAY below par. S&S sauce is laughable--thin and flavorless.

I would never pick this place for myself, but I keep getting sucked back in by my sushi-loving family members. Burger King is within walking distance, and I think the next time my family drags me back to this place, I'm going to just stick with water and enjoy socializing with them, but go have it my way across the street.

For me, this is a one star, but since others seem to really like their sushi, I have to...

Never again !!! I called before going into the restaurant to ask how much dinner per person was, he replies 14.99!! Okay so we walk in & the lady yells like from the middle of the restaurant how many ? We said 3 then they yell okay over here like what the hell tell everyone where your seating us. Ugh so rude then the lady rushes us what do you want to drink. Two water and one Sprite she comes back all water... Smh I seriously hate the fact that we just got there an didn't enjoy it.. Then we eat an they constantly say when we're about to get up to get desert or something else they say (done finish) no can we enjoy our dinner!! Then they didn't come to ask about drinks being refilled.. I just didn't even want to eat while I was there, like the vide of their rudeness just made me not hungry anymore.. Then we're done she gave us the check and I said umm how much is dinner she said 17.95 an I said before I came in I called an the guy told me 14.99 ! She said oh no sorry it's different price !! Umm what ? How is a 30 min phone call change the price... Then I said okay so as she walked up to the cashier I called the same number I used before we walked in.. An we see the guy answer again an o asked the same question an his response is 14.99 again... So I walk to the lady she gives me my check to sign an I tell her I just called an the same guy answered an said 14.99 an all she says thank sorry. What the heck !! So I walk up to the guy an say I just called you again to ask how much an you told me 14.99. He said yes but with drinks ... Umm we both got water an then he said oh still 17.sum because tax. So you mean to tell me 14.99 went to 17. Sum wven tho we didn't get any soda, he said oh still 17sum plus tax ? Okay guy which is it? 17 sum with soda too and 17 sum without soda then you say oh 17sum with tax... Then my total was 35.60 he said your total is 3540 with no drinks.. Like omg...y'all need to make sure you don't get over...

The worst dining experience hands down I have ever experienced!! Went here yesterday evening for dinner with my child and a couple of friends and their children. The food, all of it tasted as if it had been sitting under a warmer all day... Nothing was fresh, to the point that mid-way during my dinner and I had to run to the restroom and vomited. THEN while my two girlfriends and their kids were still eating dinner one of their workers comes over trying to collect payment for our dinners. We weren't even remotely done! She didn't listen at all to the request of separating out bills, so she had to go redo that. I paid cash and my two friends used their credit/debit cards. One of my friends bill total was $34, they charged her $340. And then tried to say they didn't when my friend showed her bank phone app proving they just overcharged her by $300. She had to get to the point where she was getting very upset before they even took it seriously and then after that my friend wouldn't not let them charge her card again (for obvious reasons) and they threatened in front of the whole restaurant to call the cops on her! I personally had to ask two separate workers for my change over 5 times not even kidding one bit. It was truly the most awkward and unprofessional experience at a restaurant I have ever had in my life. To say I will not be returning here is an understatement, I feel people need to know how they operate truthfully and if you are wanting to spend $18/person on dinner there are many many other good establishments to go. Definitely NOT Super Buffer in...
