Franco's Famous — Restaurant in Ladera Ranch

We absolutely love Franco’s Famous! After moving out of state, we were back visiting and planned to stop by the Laguna location only to be pleasantly surprised to find our favorite Mexican restaurant now in Ladera!

If you're a fan of authentic Mexican food, handcrafted drinks, and top-notch service, this place is a must-visit. The food is so consistently delicious, we went out of our way just to dine here and it was worth every mile....

I came with my daughter and her son. We were seated promptly, there was not many people here. Restraunt is clean, contemporary looking. There is no South West or Mexican atmosphere, TV's are on football and its loud like a sports bar. It was hard to relax and I left with a headache. The food was boring. The chimichaga was pasty, no flavor whatsoever. I dont find any reason to come back.

BTW - What a shame to loose Mama's for this!!...

This place has potential but is poorly managed, my family sat for 20 minutes without a single server coming to our table. We ended up leaving. Multiple servers walked by without bating an eye and serving tables sat after us. Chips/water runner was on point. I know this is a new spot and still trying to find its groove, but they will need to do a lot more if they want to charge $20+...
