Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Lady Lake

PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END!!! IT DOES TURN OUT BETTER, BUT THE SERVICE FROM THE SERVER WAS HORRIBLE!!! THE MANAGER SAVED THE NIGHT!!

I went in tonight for the Daddy Daughter dinner. I had two reasons for going. One my birthday was a few days ago and I wanted to use my desert coupon. (I love my coupons) I went in to the bar area because the dining room was busy and there was no hostess. We sat down and it took our server about 7 minutes to even ask for our drink order. When she came to the table we were ready for the whole order. The server tried to rush me and my elderly father. I ordered for both of us since my dad doesn't go to Chilis often. The server took the order and then came back 5 minutes later with our drinks. We waited 25 minutes for salads..... I can understand if the chicken needed to be cooked but no one said anything to us. By this time the restaurant was clearing out. So we thought our food would be out. No.... In the meantime my dads tea was empty. She walked by a few times and saw the cup at the end of the table. Did nothing. When our food came the expo/server saw the empty cup, did nothing.... Our server came over to see how things were. She was walking away before I could speak and I pointed to my dads cup.... She walked away and came back with the pitcher..... No ice.... Filled my dads cup with HOT tea!!! Ugh..... So then I ordered on the kiosk my free desert. After 15 mins and no brownie I asked for the mgr.... BY THE WAY, no ice in my dads cup, I had already taken the desert off my bill with my coupon and was waiting. The mgr came over and was very polite. She honestly saved my evening.... She asked what was wrong, looked at the times of our wait and while she was at our table the desert showed up.... She came back out a few minutes later with a pink balloon, a birthday card with gift cards, and a discounted bill. While she was gone our server came back over to fill my dads tea and had the audacity to ask, "did you want more ice?" Really...? You asked that? Ugh..... Needless to say I will be back thanks to the manager. She made my night so much better and she didn't have to do...

I have never been to Chili's before and was very disappointed in the service. Was told if we signed up upon entering we could receive a free non-alcoholic drink or chips and salsa for every visit. We did so after being seated and turned the kiosk back to the waitress. Our waitress took our order. After about 10 min I asked if we would get the chips before our meal. Very smug Kelly Ni our waitress responded with a "well u have to ask for them they dont just come out". Never having been there before i didn't know this assuming that was why I put it in the kiosk. We get our chips and then when our meal comes out, the order is wrong. I asked if the steak we received was the ribeye and she said no thats the sirlion. She did ask if we wanted her to get us a ribeye and we said no. After she left i realized that she also got my order wrong. The manager came to our table saying he overheard and wanted to know if he could get what we ordered. I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas and was given steak and shrimp. I also asked Kelly if i could get it without the cilantro and it had it all over it. I told them i was fine with mine and would just eat it. We did receive the ribeye we ordered finally. The manager had told us we could have the sirloin for free. While I appreciate the manager coming over and fixing the problem we weren't there to get something for free we just wanted what we ordered. Maybe had Kelly actually wrote our order down it wouldnt have been an issue of remembering or guessing what we ordered. Good thing I dont have any...

So before I get into this, my wife and I take our kids out to eat every week and we let them choose, where our family date night will be and Chilis tends to be their go to. We typically don’t go to this one unless we are out that way doing something else. We got there at around 7pm, so well it was outside of dinner rush there still was some volume of customers. We were immediately sat and we were met with an issue concerning the fryer being backed up and the order would take bit longer depending on what we ordered. Order was Texas loaded fries, mozzarella sticks, a burger, children’s pizza and the childrens sliders. So a mix of fried food and non fried food. We ended up getting our food at around 7:53. And that was everything minus the chips and salsa that also took time getting to the table and was never refilled or offered to be refilled. Finished one drink that was eventually refilled but overall below average service, if not outright inadequate. Like I said not super busy. Will note that there was a softball team of some sorts that arrived that I imagine probably placed an order that caused the “back up” however I will say for a place that deals with a lot of fried food this should not cause nearly an hour wait for food. All of this to get the order and stuff still missing. Overall compared to other chilis in the immediate area this one is either very poorly run or severely understaffed in the kitchen. Will not go back...
