As part of our mission to try every Vietnamese restaurant in the Boulder area, and after getting a reliable recommendation from a friend, we popped in here about a half hour before they closed after lunch. The service was given with a smile and was prompt. The pho we ordered came in a huge bowl easily big enough to feed two people. The broth was our favorite so far in the whole area and the other ingredients were fresh and reasonably plentiful. The mixed grilled meat noodle plate was very good and a dead-on ringer for my favorite order at my OG hometown Vietnamese place in another state, making it such good comfort food. All in all, this is now our favorite Vietnamese joint in the area, though it is unfortunately a little drive from us. Still, we will be back when we are in the area time and time again....

To be honest, we're always hesitant to try out new Asian cuisine around the metro area. But to be straight forward this place is AMAZING. We ordered take out from Basil Bowl, and we were not disappointed whatsoever. This place has amazing friendly staff who really take pride in their restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and they made it just how I wanted...Spicy but not too spicy plus a side of fish sauce. They absolutely were right on point. My wife ordered the Pho Rare Steak Pho Thai and the broth is nothing like we've had before. The spices and touch of scents were to die for. I don't know what they do differently but it smells and tastes amazing. We would highly recommend this place to eat. If we could give it 10 stars we would. We will definitely be coming...

Wow! What a great addition to the neighborhood. We've tried the curries and the wok dishes. Everything has been delicious and fresh. My wife and I are working our way through the menu. We have not been disappointed. The pad thai is excellent. We love the yellow and green curries. The Chef (she is the wife of the 'wife and husband' team) even presents the food beautifully in the take out containers. They have meat based dishes--but almost everything can be made vegetarian or vegan. The inside looks immaculate. The prices are fair. The folks that run the restaurant are warm and welcoming. I first heard about them because people were being effusive about them online. Now I know what all the...

Utter disappointment, first time finally getting a chance to order Basil Bowl and ordered cashew chicken To-Go. I get home and open the containers and discover....a whole lot of not much. $12+....???? And I get less than a half pint of white rice and the saddest little spoon full of the entree. Typically I'd just hop back and request a more appropriately sized portion or refund...but this was so bad it was too shameful to be a part of it any more than necessary. While I consumed the few bites of this snack it was evidently clear that I will just go back to Panang and get 3-4x the food for the same price. Bummer...it tasted good but actually just left me more hungry.

This place has absolutely amazing Vietnamese and Thai food, and the owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. They use fresh ingredients every single day, and they are so passionate about providing excellent food and service. You can tell they love what they do and want everyone to enjoy their food. It's incredibly affordable, especially considering it is such great quality, authentic, and the flavors are top notch. The pho is amazing, as is the drunken noodle, basil chicken, and Vietnamese crispy egg roll, but I would bet everything on their menu is incredible! Highly recommend!
