Broaddus Burgers — Restaurant in Lafayette

Let me start out by saying that the service was amazing! Super kind people working at Broaddus and clean restaurant. You might be wondering why I’m giving this place 2 star. It’s simply because the food contains a lot of msg. You will feel quite bloated after eating the food (msg = salt). I will say again the food was great, the place is clean , and the service is kind! I just wish the food did not contain msg. 😕 In one way it was quite upsetting about the msg because you may think that you are ordering a healthy meal option only to figure out after you have eaten it you get that bloated “I’ve just eaten msg feeling”. I know some people may not care about this. I am just making whoever is reading this aware. I know some people may allergic reactions to msg and some people are just health conscious! One of my family members had ordered the burger in a bowl. Because he is on a keto diet, he could not have the regular build a your own burger that comes on a bun. He had ordered it because he thought it was “healthy option” because he is health conscious and he does not care for the “I’ve just eaten msg” feeling. I haven't had Broaddus Burgers since the beginning on Moss Street at the old Sonic, so it was so good to have one open up near my house. It's been so packed since opening and I had to stop on in.

Went over the menu at work on their website but the text was pretty small so I couldn't really read it, but once I got there it was plenty of menus by the door so I quickly went over in line. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable with questions I had. I got the stuffed burger with fries also my sister in law got the same thing. Only reason I say this is because she cut into and her burger looked amazing stuffed with pepperjack cheese and oozing everywhere. I cut into my burger and it's nothing....

The owner did come over and said it might've leak out but there was no cheese at all in the plate, but he did make another and I can say it was perfect then. One thing I will say is the patties aren't seasoned so I suggest building your burger with the spicy patty (which I'll try next time). Overall the experience was good and you can tell they're ironing out the kinks and everything is just not flowing just right as of yet, so I won't hold any of that against them. I will...

Organized, clean with friendly and professional staffing. Menus placed out front and it may take you some time to go thru all the options!

Ordered a Rodeo Burger ( honey barbeque sauce, a couple of onion rings and cheese)...be careful what you order because some of the finished sandwiches are quite tall. Barbeque sauce went well with the scratch made onion rings. Ordered a large onion ring for two people and still had 1/2 the order left. Couldn't eat it all!

My youngest twin daughter ordered a burger with 3 large cheese sticks on it and it was fun to watch her try and bite into it because of the height!

I would have preferred more seasoning on the onion rings, that's it.

I will be returning on a regular basis and highly recommend eating at the West...
