YES THEY DO TASTE AS GOOD AS THEY LOOK! Chocolate Sprinkle Donut Holes (two dozen donut holes with extra chocolate sauce and a side of chocolate sauce) is a special treat that we order once a week from various donut shops in the area. We have been doing this for years— and by far there is one shop that stands out from the rest and that is Cajun Market Donut Company on Pinhook.

For this particular order I called ahead because I was aware they would be closing in an hour and did not want to be of any inconvenience. The most professional and polite staff member answered the phone, Kassondra her name— she assured me that they are happy to fulfill orders from open to close and even offered to get started on preparing my order. I was hesitant to share my special request of extra chocolate sauce and a side of chocolate sauce but I asked anyway and her response was, “absolutely!”

Like I said earlier, we order the same thing (two dozen Chocolate Sprinkle Donut Holes) once a week from various donut shops in the area. More often than not there has been at least one issue with every order- the donut holes taste like they have been sitting out all morning, the donut holes are either not cooked fully or hard, there is barely enough sauce or no sprinkles, a side of sauce is not included, or they are packaged in a bag (which results in more sauce on the bag and not the donut holes and also makes for a nice mess).

Not once have we experienced any of these issues when ordering from Cajun Market Donut Company on Pinhook!! Over the last year we have placed at least a dozen orders with Cajun Market Donut Company on Pinhook and the quality and consistency has always been the same- SPOT ON! They clearly know what they are doing— and they do it to a degree above and beyond what you would expect!

So whatever you decide to order at Cajun Market Donut Company on Pinhook you are almost guaranteed to get the best of the best. The attention to detail, the generosity, and the care and concern for the little things is apparent in everything they do - they are more than just a donut shop with great donuts, they are a place that whether you order over the phone, online, in an app, or right there at their counter—where the local people, the gracious staff, or the inviting atmosphere will not only make your day so much better but it will also leave you with a positive and lasting impression that there is still good in this world. You can expect to be treated as part of a family who is welcome at any hour as long as the door is open— especially if you have the opportunity to interact with Kassondra. She is definitely one of the most kind-hearted and respectful restaurant staff members I have ever had the pleasure to speak to over the phone.

I am proud and beyond ecstatic to say (and my entire family agrees) that of all the donut shops we have had the privilege to experience between here and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, not one compares or comes close to that of Cajun Market Donut Company...

Went there at 9:30am on a Saturday. They were out of everything but glazed and chocolate icing donuts (and cinnamon rolls). No kolaches.

Conversation:

Me: What speciality donuts do you have? Cashier: None we’re sold out Me: Can I get a ham and cheese kolache? Cashier: We don’t have that anymore. Me: What do you have? Cashier:Well, it’s not ham and cheese anymore it’s turkey (maybe you should change your menu) Me: May I please have that Cashier: We’re out Me: Well what type of kolache do you have? cashier: None, we’re sold out.

You should train your staff. How frustrating to walk into a business and have this poor conversation. If you were out of everything your cashier could have assisted me better rather than having me play lousy game “Go Fish”. Who wants their customers treated like that?

The BEST kolaches ever

This is a wonderful small town local coffee and donuts shop. I've had some of the donuts but I tend to gravitate towards the kolaches every time I go. Each location seems to have a different unique kolache the pulled pork kolache at the pinkook location is absolutely the best. And the one at this location uses ground meat and some awesome mouth tingling spices baked with a crispy crust that is great as well. The jalapeno and sausage is in a realm of its own. They roll the kolache in chopped up jalapenos and I believe minced garlic that makes them the best around.
