This is the best Mexican food in Lafayette in my opinion. Specializing in Oaxaca region cuisine. Myself and three of my hungry friends went for lunch the other day and we were met with a smile, chips and salsa, menus, and a drink order within a minute of sitting down on the cozy front patio. The food never disappoints from the Carnitas Nachos to the Super Burrito to some of the house specialties like The Tilapia from the Oaxaca Coast or the Garlic Prawns in creamy sauce. Even Junior found something yummy from the kids menu. Park for free in the back and check the blackboard to the right of the door for the daily specials. Una mƔs cerveza por favor!

I come to Cabo twice a year and stay right around the corner from this place but just finally gave it try on a recent trip. Man have I missed out. Breakfast would consist of a special coffee, fresh juice, a breakfast burrito and club sandwich. The bill was like $16 USD! We ate here at least 3-4 of the days we were here. Service was great even when it was crowded. I'd say almost every day we ate there, it was at least 75-90% occupied. Food is really good and we'll definitely be back.

A little skimpy on everything but the price. Seemed like a child's portion compared with other places in the area. They charge you for the chips and dip.

I stopped by El Jarro on a busy weekday lunchtime. It was packed with no seating available, so I decided to take my order to go. I got the Mexican torta with milanesa, chorizo, and melted cheese, and it was absolutely delicious! The ingredients were fresh, well-prepared, and perfectly balancedā€”the hot, melty fillings contrasted beautifully with the crisp, cold toppings. The flavors and textures were amazing. My family has ordered from this place a lot since Spring 2020.

Nice staff.

Lately it's very small portions. Tonight's $12 chicken burrito was less than 14 oz. all in. It was also cold, the shredded cheese hadn't even melted.

Also (and FYI because among the many creative new charges I've seen lately from local restaurants, this one is new) there's a 40 cent "bag fee" (undisclosed) added if you decide go to the trouble of going down there and trying to park.
