Round Up Saloon — Restaurant in Lafayette

Bar tenders are good, the security on the other hand went on a power trip, last night what appeared to be a middle aged male grabbed an empty cup out of my friends hand as she was leaving (we let it go, there’s no drinks allowed outside the bar, even though the drink was just ice, we let it slide), he continues to talk to my friend in a very condescending and mocking tone, after which he stumbled on his words and does not properly explain himself, my friend asks if he’s drinking on the job, after that question he gets incredibly hostile and reactive. My friends and I are regulars, we even bring in new friends to have fun, we are very peaceful and responsible, never had any issues at any establishment except this. After my friends and I go into the parking lot to call Lyft and have our DD drive the rest home, the security guy comes around the corner, asking bogus questions leading nowhere and harassing us while trying to intimidate us, I recorded the entire thing for security and safety reasons, in this video he is clearly under some kind of influence and is acting hostile. I know a good network of people, some of which know the bar owner and other regulars, I will be sure to save my video and my mental notes I took last night as well as the witnesses which were there last night, this type of harassment and dangerous behavior is unacceptable (p.s. this man was in his mid 30’s harassing three girls then lowered his tone when two guy friends came up, makes you think about what he thinks...

I never write reviews but from my experience I have to say this bar is kind of a joke. The bouncer they hired puts a bad face to their name. I came out on a whim with a friend to have a good time, instead he pocketed our IDs claiming they were fake. Maybe it was his height that made him insecure, but he acted very cocky and completely unprofessional. After refusing to give them back we decided to call the police. Once he heard us on the phone he ran to the back and decided to actually scan our ids properly. Totally unbelievable and deterred any desire to partake in this establishment. Living on East Carson st Pa, with over 40 bars on the strip, this has never happened to me. Considering checking IDs is the easiest job you could have on a slow night, Round Up Saloon needs to retrain their bouncers to work by the book, and act more professional. UPDATE: Backyard tent area is pretty nice, if you can stand the cigarette smoke. The parking lot has recently been paved. It's been a dirt lot for the 25 years I've been coming here.

The smell has improved somewhat as they've renovated the bathrooms. I've not seen any cockroaches recently, so they seemed to have taken care of that problem. There's a soft spot in the floor near the back door (under which you'll need to duck if you're tall.)

On the plus side, they have shuffleboard, pool tables, and live music on the weekends. Plenty of cold beer on tap. The spirit selection is definitely lower end. They don't have a great single malt selection, but it has recently improved with the addition of Laphroaig. This is not the place to take a client for a martini. This is a dirty,...
