Wax A Peel — Local services in Lafayette

So I had absolutely no clue this place existed. I ran across this only as one of their highly skilled providers Ally and I cross paths through my business. So I said let’s do this. I haven’t had a facial in about 4 years since moving to California. Trust me it showed. New weather effecting my skin, horrible skin routine even more so taking off makeup. My skin was always breaking out. I put all my trust into Ally this time and said do what ever you think is best. She laughed a little and said are you sure . I said let’s do this… Now keep in mind I have a wedding to attend in 5 days so my only request was not to look like a sunburned tomato.

Ally suggest a chemical peel with the reassurance of my skin being ready by Sunday. Now this would be my first peel ever so the trust level was high.

Walking into the establishment it was so quiet, clean and smelled so relaxing. Yes that’s a thing. The aromas were so relaxing.

Once in the room, it was nicely set up. Bonus the table was heated!!!!! Not to hot but just perfect! Which was good cause my hair was freshly washed and it was 55 out and I was shivering. Give a few minutes to undress put a comfortable cloth on and climb into the bed it was perfect.

Ally came in and started. She explained everything that was going to happen and good thing she did. Face was cleaned off and then the peel began. WooooHoooo now this is not for the light of heart. She explained it would feel like a million little prickles for the next two days. Well as she applied the peel boy was she right. Now it wasn’t painful but slightly enlightening…. I compare it to the worse your foot fell a sleep ever. The mask was next and once again strange but relaxing rollercoaster. It was like my face was on fire for 20-30 seconds which Aly let me know would happen, followed by the most cooling feeling. Can’t explain it but felt wonderful. Finally we finished with this oil. Now I was like oil on my face 🤨. She explained it was for hydration and to help skin heal. It was nice and smelled really good. Finally done.

After it was all done Ally was able to recommend some products that she thought would be of help. Explain my poor care routine she made sure to keep it simple and realistic.

I left a little red that was to be expected. However the redness has already died down. I do feel the prickles still a little in certain spots on my face which I was told will last about 2 days. But over all feels great.

Anyone looking for a facial should check...

Leah is inspiring and so knowledgeable when it comes to skincare. She’s always sharing helpful tips, and you can tell she genuinely wants you to look and feel your best. I’ve also been using Lira Clinical products for over 10 years — game changers! My top three favorites are the BODY Silk Soufflé, SPF Elio Drops 30 Glow, and the BIO Lip Factor. These products keep my skin glowing year-round.

Plus, I still get compliments on my skin thanks to Leah’s tips and treatments. She really knows what she’s doing.

This is the place you want to come if you've never waxed before and have any anxiety for the below-the-belt treatment. It is also the place you need to check out if youre experienced in the world of waxing and have a high standard for quality and comfort.

From the moment you walk in and are offered your complimentary champagne, to the moment when you lay back on the soft table, staring at the exotic ocean scene in front of you, you just feel... pampered! They offer all sorts of other services too, but I was here for one reason a few weeks ago!

Kristen was also the most gentle aesthetician I've had an experience with and the mostly painless treatment was over faster than I expected.
