Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Lafayette

Love the Muffaletta's. The meat is cut thin & piled high with a true muffaletta loaf that can withstand the oils of the olive salad without disappearing in a soggy mess. Closer to the real thing you get from those special places in New Orleans like Central Grocery without having to travel to the Crescent City. Nice quiet, intimate spot that is a favorite for old folks, little ones and teens. One of those go to places that provides food pretty quick but not "fast food". Salad bar is always well stocked with ample salad and other fixings and the kids always end their meal with an ice cream cone from the self-serve soft-serve machine. Takeout is well packaged and ready to travel back home without the fear of getting home with a tossled meal. The whole muffaletta, enough for two generous servings or four eating lite for instance comes packed in two containers which are full in the box, holding the sandwich firmly but gently. You get a couple of bags of chips and they even provide couple of their pickle spears which are packed for take out. I would think THIS food plus a bucket of ice cream & a cake would work well in catering a party for a bunch...

I really love Jason’s Deli sandwiches but this location in particular I have has had experiences at ordering to go. A few times now, I have had to go orders be wrong. I’ve ordered and paid for additions (like cheese and extra bacon) and haven’t gotten those additions. Not a huge deal but annoying. Today, I was in a hurry and ordered a pastrami Ruben, but was given someone else’s entirely different sandwich instead. I had driven to my destination 20 minutes away before I had a moment to open and inspect my sandwich to realize. Tried to get over my disappointment and eat the sandwich anyway since I was totally starving but it was not what I ordered or like at all. The only thing that was correct was the bread. I placed a group online order today at 11:45am. The order didn't arrived until 1pm. After receiving the order, we noticed that the bags were somewhat opened, we were missing some of our order. Called them and told them the issue, they said that we would have to go through ASAP. After talking to customer support about the issue, they credited us. At that point one of my Co workers noticed that her dessert had mold on the strawberries! She immediately called them and was put on hold to talk to the manager. She waited about 10 minutes before being connected with the manager(Evan) she explained that the strawberries had mold on them. He said that he was just getting on shift and really didn't seemed to be trying to solve this problem. WE ARE VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS AND DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM HERE...
