This is mine and my husband’s go to Chinese take out restaurant. It’s not the best Chinese food we’ve eaten, but it’s convenient and we usually get a lot of food for a good price. But the last time we ordered, I tried their Kung Pao chicken, and about 90% of meal was celery. There were a handful of mushrooms and carrots and those were the “veggies” of the meal. There was barely enough chicken in there for one meal, and it was really small pieces. It was also drowning in a very watery sauce. I would not call this Kung Pao, it was definitely more of a savory celery soup. I’m not sure if this was the last of the Kung Pao they had and decided to just box it up instead of making fresh, but it was very disappointing and I was not happy to pay $8.50 for a container of celery.

This is your standard Hong Kong style Chinese food. The food is very well prepared and tasty. Portions are generous, and they've always been fast. The wonton soup is short on wontons, but the broth is amazing for recovering from a hard endurance event. One thing I discovered is that the "Sweet & Pungent Chicken" is simply the usually "Sweet & Sour" chicken, which I'm not a big fan of.

WHERE'S THE SHRIMP! Ordered sweet and sour shrimp. I got 5-pcs of almost complete dough balls. Note the pic showing a bite taken out of it. And my wife ordered a "large" shrimp lo-mein. It had 5-pcs of tiny shrimp total. Absolutely a rip-off!!! I won't be going back!

We always eat Chinese on New Year's day, this was the 1st time we had been to Peking. Did not realize until we got there that it is predominantly a carry out restaurant and is not conducive to eating in. They must have been having trouble with the heat, it was cold. They had no hot tea, and no ice for drinks either. We drank water (City tap water...ick!) The waitress gave us foam plates and plastic forks, and 3 flimsy paper napkins; we had to ASK for more...did not even have napkin dispensers on the table. We were not impressed with dining; however, that being said, the food was fantastic! We had hot & sour soup (not overly salty, and spiced just right) and the BEST crab Rangoon we've ever had in Lafayette. Mu shu pork was very flavorful, with 4 large pancakes (but had to ASK for the plum sauce); also had beef with broccoli, and Triple in Garlic Sauce. Very flavorful, and just right on the pepper oil in the sauce, but skimpy in vegetables and meat, mostly brown sauce. Large portions. Next time, carry out,...

They are serving spoiled vegetables and I recorded it. I wish it would allow me to upload the video. How dare they do that to people when times are already hard. I didn’t have to choose to give them my money and when I did it was another disappointment. The first time they gave me my chop suey in a box and it leaked everywhere. This time I feel that they charged me for a plastic container because I addressed the issue. Then when I offered to bring the entire order back and let them discard it, they told me not to and only gave me not even half of my money back. There should be an option to upload videos and or pictures because Todd is just simply wrong. It was so much spoiled vegetables that I had to throw the entire entree away, there was no picking out the spoiled veggies. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND UPSET....

I'm sorry, but the atmosphere is impersonable. The door is locked, they talk to you via speaker, and the impression I got was either they don't want to be around people, or they were robbed before. They need to get a new cook, because the vegetable egg fu yun was not tasty at all, they give you a lot of brown gravy as if they're trying to get rid of it, and the egg roll was dry. I won't be back, more so because they're serving the public through a locked door. I'll stick with En lai. Pekin needs to step up their game. I feel like I wasted my money. I don't know if I'm going to eat it all, because I'm scared I'll need a Tums afterwards. Pekin is the worst. Food and Service. I'm thinking they don't want to be confronted about their food, and they can deal with people through a...
