Pho Hoa + Jazen Tea (Lafayette) — Restaurant in Lafayette

While not having the best ambiance, almost nothing is as comforting as a good bowl of soup. And this place makes a good bowl of soup.

So why is their pho good? The portions are large, the broth is rich & flavorful, they always give you a selection of fresh vegetables to add how you like, and the proteins are both flavorful & tender. Lean in close and breath deep, it will make you feel warm and safe (not to mention hungry).

If you are dining here then most likely it is for their pho. I favor their "Beef rib & Brisket", but their "Brisket, Flank, Fatty Flank, Crunchy Flank, & Tendon" is a close runner up. Doctor it up with the sprouts, Thai basil, and sliced peppers they serve on the side. If you want some heat then add a little chili oil though be careful since it is easy to get to much heat.

They do have rice plates and Vermicelli bowls if you go with someone who doesn't want pho. While I have not gotten them personally, a few of my friends and family have and rated them well.

They also have good boba tea here and I have swung by many times just to get a drink even if I wasn't getting a meal. My go to is their two Thai Tea flavors but if I feel like something fruity then their Buzzin Berry is a great blend of honey...

I'm so sad about my last experience. Our table visits have been wonderful. Quick service and delicious food and boba tea. Husband and I wanted some while working from home so placed an order on the app. Waited 30 minutes to pick it up, arrived to find out they had no boba and my food wasn't ready. I asked for a refund on my teas, was told wasn't an option because we paid from the app. I asked if we could get our drinks up sized for the inconvenience, I was told it would be extra. They didn't seem to take responsibility for not having boba ready. They kept giving excuses for how long it would be. This was only an hour after the restaurant opened. food is amazing, drinks are amazing. my sister didn't like her Vietnamese Coffee, she took 2 sips out of it & that was all so she asked if she could get something else instead when we were getting our bill. would have asked sooner but our waitress did not check on us much & she was really rude, took 40 mins to bring us fried rolls ! made faces anytime i asked for something. long story short we couldn’t get anymore smoothies or drinks like we were planning because they pretty much denied us of getting anything else.
