I ORDERED A LARGE CHILI, NOT THE APPARENTLY NEWLY SECRET EMPLOYEE CREATED YET SAME LARGE PRICE, MEDIUM CHILI!! When someone orders a particular sized menu item, it's generally what THEY EXPECT TO RECEIVE!! I'm not sure what is going on with either one of the Lafayette side, (SR 38, & Teal Rd), Wendy's as of lately when it comes to their chili, but inflation is bad enough as it is; no need to further rip us off!! I've been to both locations numerous times within the last 2 weeks, even requesting that they actually fill the large chili cup that I paid for. However, only one of the, at least half a dozen times, did I ACTUALLY receive my large chili, which just so happened to be the time I had to actually speak up and request that I actually get a large chili rather than a non-existent medium chili. Adding insult to injury, that's when the rather unpleasant male manager (possibly asst Mgr), not only gave me some bs about "Wendy's recently changing their policy, now requiring the employee to fill the particular ordered sized cup to capacity"!! Wth?! Since when was it ever "policy" to underfill the particular ordered sized container, yet charge the same price for the larger unchanged menu item in the first place?! I'd be more understanding if I had ordered the cheese and/or onions, and the large cup actually not averaging being 2" underfilled on all but ONE recent visited occasion. Their chili is usually pretty good, when it's not watered down, (which I personally know for a fact the Wendy's on SR 38 has done numerous times in the past to avoid reheating another full bag; just hope that "policy", pure laziness, has too changed). My rating will increase when they've figured this so called "new policy" out, and hopefully get an attitude adjustment for the management staff at the SR 38 location. The staff of the Teal Road Wendy's has always been...
Read moreI am always impressed with the dedication of service at this location. The restaurant is very clean and the food is correct far more frequently than other similar restaurants in the area. The employees are friendly and many are committed.
I have been aware of some management difficulties in the past regarding matters of the human resources variety, however I understand that this location has been under new management for a little while and the outlook has appeared to have improved even in a short time. That being said, it is important to remember how stressful commercial kitchens can be given the heat, pace, and demanding consumers. Employees are paid as well as can be expected in the current political climate. I continue to have hope, not for the sake of Wendy's as a company or even "fast food" as an industry, but for the sake of the people who choose to make a living out of serving others.
All in all, this Wendy's on 38 is among the highest quality fast food in the area and they manage that despite very high volumes due to many factories in the vicinity. Have pride and...
Read moreMy nuggets were so hard my dog had a hard time eating them Update! After 6 months I decided to stop going to west lafayette every time we want Wendy's since its picking up over there. Well now they actually have edible nuggets... buuut they dont know how to put bacon on a BACONATOR (only ketchup and pickle but since when does that mean no.bacon on a BACONATOR!) 3 times in a row! The college kids on campus can manage to put bacon on my husbands BACONATOR only ketchup and pickle. Guess I have to keep going clear out there because I dont have time to keep coming back for them to fix my sandwich, I get fast food because my day is too busy last time I was on my way to riley and didn't notice till we got on 65 and today I have to take my nephew home before work. The manager just kept telling me I have to come in today to replace the sandwich, well I dont have time and I would rather your staff make my food right in the first place! Dont go here unless you have time to come back when they mess up you...
