Went to the JCP Portrait Studio for holiday pictures. The backdrop HAD A STAIN. We discovered this the next day after getting digital prints of our photos. We asked for a refund and the manager suggested we "photoshop the pictures." No! You're (allegedly) a professional portrait studio! A customer should not have to photoshop pictures from your service. She said she would check with her district manager about a refund and call us back. She never did. We returned to the studio to ask about the refund and they gave us edited pictures (far too late to include in our holiday gifts), which STILL had the stain in the background -- just less visible. We contacted JCP Portraits online as well with no response. We are filing a complaint with the BBB and never returning. This review could have been avoided with good customer service.
In addition, their digital camera can only take about 25-30 photos before the memory card fills. If you don't like the pictures, they can't take more until they go into their software and delete photos. Also, their flash sensor is often not working, so they have to wave their hand below the sensor before half of their photos. This is not good if you're having pictures taken of a baby or toddler. If you miss the moment, you may never get it back! If I were a "professional" portrait studio, I'd make darn sure we had adequate space for photo storage, functional equipment, and no stains on our...
Read moreI usually have hit or miss experiences with salons. Most have been awful, which has made me pretty wary and feeling the need to do my own hair, whether it be coloring or cut.
I have been here twice over the last few years and both experiences have been fantastic. I have nothing, but great things to say about them. I am one of those that wait until my hair is a mess before I go in. Neither time did I feel any disdain from the stylists over the poor condition of my hair and the expectations I had for them fixing MY mistakes.
This past visit with Bailey was probably all in all the best cut and color I have ever had. I have very thick, coarse hair and lots of it. I also have naturally red auburn hair, but as with all red heads, the pigment in some strands now comes in white or platinum, so the new growth comes in making me look like I have a 'skunk' stripe where my part is and all along my face. She knew exactly how to cut it and highlight it so all my concerns were taken care of. I now have gorgeous, envious, bouncy, manageable hair that no longer accents the lighter growth that comes in. I won't feel the need to color my roots every week to hide the new growth, it blends in and is now hidden.
I highly recommend Bailey to anyone needing a new style or color, but especially to those with thick hair. I've been to several stylists in the past that just did not understand how to work with it. Bailey...
Read moreTerrible customer service. We were trying to purchase a Sealy silver chill mattress (with a jcpenny card). Nobody at the store would assist us. We tried to purchase it online. The submit button would not work to complete the purchase. We went back to the store. The person reluctantly helped us. First she told us that our jcpenny card wouldnât work. We told her that we had called customer service and kept getting the automated version, and if she could try from her end. She told us she would get the same automated version. She did not try to call the number nor did she try ringing up the purchase to determine what the issue was. We then offered cash upfront at the full price (without the jcpenny cardâs discount) to which she replied that it would take at least 4 months for the mattress to arrive and we were better off purchasing the mattress elsewhere.
Jcpenny, you just lost our business, we took her advice and purchased elsewhere and the mattress was delivered...
