Giselle's Vegan Kitchen — Restaurant in Laguna Hills

I learned about Giselle’s Vegan Kitchen about a year & a half ago so this review is LONG overdue.. because to this day I have not been able to live a day without my Giselle’s treats! For me, a day without Giselle’s treats is a day void of any joy.. haha & I really mean that! Everything is amazing. I’m incredibly particular (more like full blown obsessive) about eating clean & Giselle’s uses the cleanest, most high-quality ingredients & everything is vegan, gluten free & refined sugar free. What’s even more amazing is that everything is unreal delicious.. so how wonderful that it’s all so nutritious & good for you too! The owner of the bakery, Giselle herself, is truly the sweetest lady you'll ever meet. She radiates the brightest, most positive energy & I just adore her! Her husband Alex is so genuinely kind as well.. they’re the nicest couple & you can see the amount of love & thoughtfulness they put in to everything at Giselle’s Vegan Kitchen. Everything truly is made with love & it shows! You can place special orders which is what I always do as I prefer to customize a bit & have everything sweetened with only monk fruit.. but you can also find Giselle’s baked goods at Erewhon, Whole Foods, Mother’s Market & I know quite a few more stores & cafes as well. Right now I cannot live a day without the peanut butter chocolate protein bars.. YUM! I usually have one before my work outs. It’s packed with so much goodness & protein & it’s the most delicious protein bar I’ve ever known of. Another Giselle’s treat I’m having daily as well right now is her delicious chocolate cake. The chocolate frosting is amazing (& keto) & the cake is super yummy & moist. I believe she uses zucchini to give it the yummy texture. You’d never know though bc it just tastes like decadent chocolate heaven! I still have so much more I need to try but so far I’ve also ordered her delicious carrot cake, tiramisu & marble Bundt cake & I truly love them all. My husband, who doesn’t follow a gluten free or vegan diet, has loved everything he’s tried as well. His favorites are the coconut blast cheesecake & the chocolates/chocolate cups. Honestly, everything is delicious & there’s a wide variety to choose from. All my life I’ve had a major sweet tooth & I’ve also struggled with my eating habits throughout a large portion of my life. My experience with Giselle’s Vegan Kitchen was great thanks to their phenomenal customer service and flavorsome cake. We placed an order for the Brownie Cookie Dough Cake & we needed the cake delivered by June 22, 2021. We contacted them the day prior to the requested delivery date to reassure the cake would be delivered. Apparently, someone missed our notes for the order which requested for the cake to be delivered on the 22nd which was unfortunate but one has to adapt to unexpected situations life throws at us. We spoke with Bea and I’m glad I did because she went above and beyond to resolve this situation to the best of her ability. We informed Bea that it would be okay if the cake arrived June 23, 2021 which was the following day. Bea completed her due diligence by assuring the cake was shipped overnight and we would receive it the morning of. Sure enough, Bea went out of her way to inform us that the cake had been shipped and it should arrive in the morning. The cake arrived in one peace and in time, thanks to her. We will definitely be ordering once again just simply due to the fact that we had an issue and it was resolve appropriately. The cake was delicious & we felt satisfied after devouring it since the ingredients they use are superb. Giselle’s Vegan Kitchen is considerate of one’s health and nutrition, even food allergies. This place is a gem! My family and I used to live right by it and we recently moved about an extra 20 minutes away. We were all so excited to see that our local café carries some of their goodies. Regardless, we still swing by the actual shop to enjoy from all the options. Everything I have tried so far has been great. Here are some of the snacks we've tried:

Almond bar - Delicious. Nutty and chocolatey. My personal favorite. Coconut cheesecake - Refreshing and coconut-y- Very tasty. Coffee cake - I often crave coffee cake and it's so hard to find a healthy option that excludes all of the artificial ingredients, this is it! Protein bar - My sister loved this one, I would rather go with the almond bar, but it is another chocolate-y alternative, very oat-y. You might want to accompany it with some plant-based milk. Raw Chocolate with raspberry - Tastes really good when you're craving straight chocolate, like a chocolate bar. Keto Brownie - Really chocolate-y, also best accompanied with some milk. Peanut butter & jelly bar - I'm not really a pb&j kind of girl, but if you are, you'll love it.

I haven't tried any of their cookies, cakes, or tarts yet--but I would gladly try any of their treats. It's great to have a gluten-free, dairy-free, refined-sugar free place with delicious goods that actually hit the spot and don't fall short of the craving.
