Read moreThis school provided me everything I needed to pass my California salesperson's exam the first try!!!
Here are the steps I followed:
I took real estate principles, practices and legal aspects of real estate and received certificates in all three classes. I made sure to get 80-90% on the finals or whatever exams they had that provided a percentage. I didn't just try to pass, I treated it seriously as one should.
I then used their "Online Exam Prep" program (absolutely crucial for exam success) and studied for a total of 60 + hours, spread out over approx. 2.5 months. The exam prep program allows you to make custom practice tests for each individual topic that one would be tested on (i.e. agency, contracts, disclosures, financing, transfer of property, property ownership, property valuation etc).
Furthermore, I would use the online exam prep feature: "mock exam." This produces a 150 question timed test. At the end of the test you are shown how many questions you answered correctly in each section of the test.
I then made a spreadsheet to keep track of all my grades per topic. I then would study topics I had 70% or below in until my grades for each topic hovered around 80% or higher. If I was doing great in "contracts" then I wouldn't take "contracts" practice tests.
Last but not least, and truly crucial for my learning style in particular, whenever I would get an answer wrong on the practice test I would write down the correct answer with the question on a separate piece of paper. I would write down the correct answer as I took the practice test. I kept doing this up until the day of my test. When I got questions wrong on the mock exam I would go over the whole thing and write down the correct answer for each question I got wrong. Like the real exam you must take the entire mock exam before you are able to see if your questions are correct or not.
It is a simple machine folks: your output equals the amount of input :) Good luck to all!!!!!!
If people say this school and prep failed them its simply a reflection of their own academic merit and not the...

His genuine kindness, knowledge, warmth, and humor made learning key terms and gaining a solid understanding of what it takes to pass the California Real Estate Salesperson exam not only effective but loads of fun. Extremely grateful to Gary for taking a dry subject and making it easy to understand. I owe it all to Gary for passing on first try. Gary offers two sessions a day, morning and afternoon M-F through Allied, Wednesday cram course, plus an extended Sunday session. His lectures, videos, and online resources are fantastic. I can't believe how lucky I am that with all the choices out there, I stumbled upon Allied, leading me ultimately to Gary and his lessons. Attend as many live sessions as you wish and take the practice tests he posts and updates for your convenience. In addition to offering a most comprehensive study material in all areas you need to know in order to pass, Gary will literally stop what he's doing during a live stream session and answer any question you have. He's not satisfied until you are comfortable with the answer. He is so patient, kind and welcoming to everyone he comes across. Simply put, he has the answers and gives you the tools you need. Once I passed, it was slightly bittersweet, only because I realized it was the close of an enjoyable chapter of learning, for me. You just don't meet people like Gary every day. So grateful we've crossed paths not only as my instructor, but also as a trusted advisor and all-around good guy to know. Thanks for all you do...you're...
