The staff at Mameya are true artisans, passionate about their craft and extremely knowledgeable about coffee. They took the time to explain the origin of each bean and walked me through the various brewing methods available. Their expertise and enthusiasm were infectious, and I felt like I was embarking on a coffee journey.
The menu at Mameya offers a wide range of options, catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether you're a fan of rich, full-bodied espressos or prefer the delicate flavors of pour-over coffee, Mameya has something to satisfy every palate. The customer service at Mameya is top-notch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making sure you have a memorable experience. They are more than happy to answer any questions you might have and offer personalized recommendations based on your preferences.
To top it all off, Mameya's commitment to sustainability is commendable. They source their coffee beans from sustainable and ethical suppliers, ensuring that the farmers receive fair compensation for their hard work. It's reassuring to know that my enjoyment of a delicious cup of coffee contributes to a larger positive impact.

Read moreThis is a specially coffee roaster. Which offers not only excellent coffee, but coffee beans.
You can only buy coffee here. No food.
But honestly, this is the best coffee I’ve ever had. There is something to be said about offering only coffee - as they know what good coffee is all about.
They do roast their beans right on the premises. You can see the roasters right behind the counter.
The owner’s father is the proprietor of the Mameya Coffee Roasters in Kobe Japan. However, they are not associated with Mameya Koffee (with a “K”) in Yokohama.
Really, if you are a coffee connoisseur, this is the place to come to. Worth it to even drive to - if you are a coffee specialist.

You can buy what is being served that day as drip or several other options, or buy beans to take home. I like to get a coffee and settle in for a few minutes (usually 15 minutes) while my newly selected fresh beans or being roasted to perfection, then take them home and enjoy my very own unique coffee. Love the staff, love the coffee, love the better experience. Beans for roasting vary in price but look to spend anywhere from $20-$35 for 16 ounce dry weight. Would give more than 5 stars if they were available. Doumo arigatou Mameya...
