I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mameya Coffee Roasters and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped into their cozy and inviting café, I knew I was in for a treat. Mameya is a true haven for coffee enthusiasts like me. The first thing that struck me was the incredible aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans that enveloped the air. It was like a symphony of fragrances, captivating my senses and setting the stage for an exceptional coffee experience. The staff at Mameya are true artisans, passionate about their craft and extremely knowledgeable about coffee. They took the time to explain the origin of each bean and walked me through the various brewing methods available. Their expertise and enthusiasm were infectious, and I felt like I was embarking on a coffee journey. The menu at Mameya offers a wide range of options, catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether you're a fan of rich, full-bodied espressos or prefer the delicate flavors of pour-over coffee, Mameya has something to satisfy every palate. I personally tried their Ethiopian single-origin pour-over, and it was a revelation. The flavors were complex and nuanced, with floral and fruity notes dancing on my tongue. Apart from the outstanding coffee, the ambiance of Mameya is warm and inviting. The cozy seating areas and rustic decor create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and unwind. The attention to detail is evident everywhere, from the carefully curated music playlist to the beautifully designed coffee accessories available for purchase. The customer service at Mameya is top-notch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making sure you have a memorable experience. They are more than happy to answer any questions you might have and offer personalized recommendations based on your preferences. To top it all off, Mameya's commitment to sustainability is commendable. They source their coffee beans from sustainable and ethical suppliers, ensuring that the farmers receive fair compensation for their hard work. It's reassuring to know that my enjoyment of a delicious cup of coffee contributes to a larger positive impact. In conclusion, Mameya Coffee Roasters is a hidden gem in the world of coffee. If you're a coffee lover seeking an extraordinary experience, look no further. From the exceptional coffee varieties to the knowledgeable staff and inviting atmosphere, Mameya is a haven for those who appreciate the art and science of coffee. I can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings. Highly recommended!

This is a specially coffee roaster. Which offers not only excellent coffee, but coffee beans. You can only buy coffee here. No food. But honestly, this is the best coffee I’ve ever had. There is something to be said about offering only coffee - as they know what good coffee is all about. They do roast their beans right on the premises. You can see the roasters right behind the counter. The owner’s father is the proprietor of the Mameya Coffee Roasters in Kobe Japan. However, they are not associated with Mameya Koffee (with a “K”) in Yokohama. Really, if you are a coffee connoisseur, this is the place to come to. Worth it to even drive to - if you are a coffee specialist. I would make two suggestions… a small food offering would be nice. However this might not part of their business plan. The other suggestion might be to offer a “flight” tasting of their coffees. As they offer so many different blends, it would be nice to try each and see which really suits your taste. One thing to note - they do charge you for added cream. While I’ve never seen any other coffee shop do this, it’s not much of a concern - just don’t be taken aback by it.

A unique coffee shop and experience from Kyoto Japan, not your usual for what is available in today's market. All about the very best coffees. No milkshakes, or frappachinofloppalaty just the best coffee available in the world. You can get your personal roast to go on a large variety of highly curated beans that are stored in bins at the roaster. Prices vary by type/grow location and weight. Your selected raw beans are weighed out in front of you, and roasted to your desired level. If you're unsure of what you'd like or how you want your roast, the staff is there to assist you. You can buy what is being served that day as drip or several other options, or buy beans to take home. I like to get a coffee and settle in for a few minutes (usually 15 minutes) while my newly selected fresh beans or being roasted to perfection, then take them home and enjoy my very own unique coffee. Love the staff, love the coffee, love the better experience. Beans for roasting vary in price but look to spend anywhere from $20-$35 for 16 ounce dry weight. Would give more than 5 stars if they were available. Doumo arigatou Mameya...
