My mother and I walked in asking for a table for two and were led to a table in the corner of the restaurant, very tight with trash on the floor in that area. It didn’t seem very clean. We politely asked if we could sit somewhere else to which our server asked us why. We explained that we didn’t want to sit there only to be questioned again to which we pointed out the trash under the table. Very dismissively, the server said “Go on and find a seat over there then,” his attitude towards us felt very rude to the point where it was shocking. My mother and I, feeling quite disrespected in front of the rest of the customers, decided to not eat there and walk out. I don’t normally write reviews but I am genuinely so disappointed with how this restaurant’s customer service has progressed. My family and I are regulars to this location of pho the bowl because we love pho soup but noticed how, and I hope this isn’t a racial thing, differently we’re treated than with Caucasian customers. I don’t know if it’s the fact that we were regulars that they think we would come back no matter what but sorry, no. Also, I forgot to mention but the food quality has also gone down in the years we’ve been coming here. There’s been more than a few times where soup has come lukewarm instead of hot. The seafood combination has gotten blander to the point where I don’t order it anymore and just get the rice, meat, salad platter instead. This USED to be a great place, it’s very disappointing to see the...
Read moreI honestly do not understand how this place has 4 stars. Let me start off by saying the following the pho here is absolutely terrible the quality of meat for one Is bottom tier at best. And it comes out cold anyone who knows anything about pho Is that it has to be served piping hot. I've given this place maybe 8 or 9 different opportunities over the last 15 or so years and every single time I've left completely astonished as to how bad the food is. On this particular day the service was good But again the pho is attended with wsy too many noodles which mashed the soup extremely cold. And again the meat quality was tertible chewy to Mahe matters worse i found a fly in my soup half. When I brought it to my waiters attention all he did was take it away and I still got charged for it. It wasn't until I complained about it that they took it off my bill. I also ordered the shaken beef for my son to eat, which was to be fair OK, but that's about the only thing I could say about my lunch and experience. All at all I can say with confidence that I will never ever come back to this place ever again I know it's the only Vietnamese restaurant in this area so I understand why so many people still come here to eat But man I've got to tell you. I'd rather drive a mile up the street and go to signature pho. They don't have as large a menu, but if you're actually looking for edible pho, I go there. Pho the bowl ought to change their name because pho Is the last thing they ought...
Read moreI just moved into the area and I started coming here and the man with the scar on his face is incredibly rude and has no customer service skills. I tried to engage him in conversation about his prices and he snapped at me and now every time I come in there he is very rude to me.. which is interesting because I’m paying $18 for soup. For soup!!! if you like this place, there is another one same name off of Crown Valley and Marguerite and they are much nicer there and a better vibe. Still same high prices but at least you’re not being talked to like you’re a POS. Do you think this guy would be nicer to his customer since they’re the ones paying to keep his doors open in Aliso Viejo. I will take my business somewhere else. Not to mention that the meat in the soup was brown instead of red, and there wasn’t very much of it. I just feel like there are plenty more pho places around, but treat you with respect when you walk in and give you good quality food I would suggest going...
