This location has only been open a few weeks but I’ve observed some inconsistencies with service specifically due to varying levels of experience with staff. We practice soccer behind the store so we have gone a few times. This past week has been slower than the last 2 times. My take out order for 2 salads, a side & cookie took over 25 minutes and they wouldn’t expedite even though it was not busy bc they wanted to abide by the pick up time written on the order. I did see the manager going in the back to check on my order tho. Then when order came out of the kitchen, the 1 staff stood there and didn’t package it up - it seemed like she was in slow motion mode, watched her finally check off everything on the list on the receipt & take another minute to write my name on the bag (and I should have double checked) but then it was missing my cookie (real reason I went!) ….disappointing. The cashier was awesome. The rest of experience was not so great. The food took some time which is fine, but it was sitting on the counter for some time as what looked like the manager or supervisors sat and talked. I asked the person if she could check the order , she did , it had been sitting at the counter, she handed the bag to me with no acknowledgement or apology for the slow service . She went back to talking with whatever was a store manager or corporate person. Your store is a disappointment and I would not recommend it because of the poor service. ( the cashier was 4star) the rest of the staff I interacted was subpar and I would recommend some retraining. I would say the Irvine (uci) location is 100% better and if I ever go back to Mendocino it would be the Irvine location only. (No merchant response is necessary, nothing you can do can change that...
