I have put good reviews here before. Sadly this time was beyond dissapointing on mothers day of all days. We began by waiting over an hour for a table which is no problem, I understand business need and capacity etc. We arrive and manager named Gina talked to us with attitude explaining there would be a long wait and basically discouraging us from eating there. When I informed her our text went off that our tabdisrespected. (She assumed we were not on the wait list) and asked could we be seated and let her know I saw two other ladies walk in without waiting or problem?? She had an aggressive attitude in her response and I understand how it is when your working in a busy environment, but I did tell her, her customer service was lacking and I knew good service because I'm also a manager who provides good service daily and didn't approveof her demeaner. Then she had the nerve to call security on me and complained about me and lied about other associates complaining about me as well, I asked if my children could at least stay and eat so my mom in law stayed with them for my kids to eat without me when I never cursed at her nor threatened her she simply abused her authority of being a manager to completely ruin my mother's day experience with my daughters. Previous to this we had bad service at bills burgers (used to be cadillac grill?)as well, where I had to approach wait staff to be waited after waiting unattended for 30 minutes to finally get on cold fries, no ranch, no water, all simple things servers should not have a problem taking care of. Let's just say over the years we have spent 10s of thousands at golden nugget and they have definitely gone downhill in the restaurant service area and my husband and I will never set foot in there again and I will never recommend. This is sad, we enjoyed some good times over the years, sadly it does not seem to be hospitable or maybe they are to some and not all, who knows. Mothers day at Golden nugget, not recommended. And I've never been kicked out of a place, this was a first for me. Thank you Gina from Lillies management team, I hope you feel very powerful in your position, and thanks for letting my children stay and eat and having enough decency to let me pay for them to eat but kick me out. Unbelievable!! Instead of a manager who should de escalate a frustrated customer from having bad service experiences in the very establishment she is a part of she chose to embarrass myself and my family involving security and I quietly walked out while they still got my money because my daughters wanted to eat there and I was not allowed to. What a disgrace on not my part but hers for not knowing how to handle and customer that is not only frustrated from bad service but to top it off, mistreated and downright...
Read moreSub par to par. Ordered "The Pairing" red wine. Priced at $59. Waiter brought a different bottle to our table; as he was opening it we noticed it was not the not the one we ordered, (in fact, it was another wine that retails for $20 under the one we ordered). We questioned it and he said the mgr said it was "Their Paring". We asked him to double check, because it didn't have the title anywhere on the bottle. He came back again and said it was a different wine, but the mgr said that it was their comparable wine red blend just like The Pairing. So I asked what the price difference was and the waiter said it was same price ($59). We said we'd pay for it, but since they had tried to make it look like it was the same wine we ordered, we asked if we could also bring in our own bottle of wine to enjoy. The waiter said he didn't think that would be a problem but would check with the mgr. Our friend went upstairs to retrieve a nice bottle of Silver Oak from his hotel Suite, and then the mgr came to our table and said we could not open our bottle of wine. After discussing the way they tried to say the wine they served (not even on the menu) was the same as the wine we ordered and we Googled the price difference, she said she would discount the cost. Instead of paying $59 she charged $39. The waiter provided us great service but felt the mgr could have made an exception to let us enjoy our own wine with a corkage fee at the least. The food was okay, only issue was that the food drowned in each plate with sauce. When my email came in from Lillie's after eating there, I noticed they did NOT give me any points on my Landry's Select Club card that I had presented before ordering our meals. That was the reason I had to send in this review. It was like a slap in the face. Note: we will NOT be coming back to the Lillie's at...
Read moreFirst off, ask for Gavin. He is one of the best servers we have had. So nice and able to laugh and joke with my family. He really made our experience last night amazing. We travel to Lake Charles every year for my mom's birthday and Lillies is a must! This is her favorite spot for the Spicy seafood Udon noodle bowl [amazing..so filling]. We also always get the calamari-it is incredible. The sushi rolls don't disappoint and a good go to if you don't know what to get is the Mongolian beef. So. Delicious.
Red dragon, bloody Mary's and hot sake were the drinks we ordered last night and all of them were so good. Tall glasses and plenty of liquor in each.
Listen I know there are reviews that aren't so promising on here-but try it out for yourself. It's a restaurant and a bar IN a casino. The prices reflect the place but the food is quality. It's going to be hit or miss sometimes whether you get fast service or if you have to wait a while, they get very busy very rapidly!!!! And the dishes won't be exactly Chinese or exactly Vietnamese or exactly any kind of Asian but it's infused and delicious. It might just blow your mind and you'll fall in love with your dish.
Ask your server questions. Try something you wouldn't normally try and enjoy!!!! We love this...
