Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken and Seafood — Restaurant in Lake Charles

I wanted to try the food here as fresh as I could get it. I arrived at 10 am when they opened. I ordered a 2 piece chicken combo with French fries 🍟 and a side of red beans 🫘 and rice. I wanted to order a three piece chicken 🐔 tender to try them. Apparently, they are out of chicken tenders today, or maybe it's just too early. I don't think they have any chicken cooked at the moment. I'll be interested in seeing how long my wait is. The store is clean . The cashier taking orders is hard to understand, and she didn't have an answer when I asked if the tenders were breaded in the store. The fountain machine doesn't have any ice, so I let them know. I ordered fries with my chicken. My order was placed at 10:05 am 10:15 am. I see the fries are cooked. At 10:33, the chicken and fries are delivered to the table. I honestly don’t know what all the hype is over this place. People must have simple taste buds. They’re a 6 on a scale of 1-10. They’re chicken is extremely spicy. I like spice so it’s good to me but if you don’t like spice don’t get the chicken. I tried the tenders, fries, and shrimp fried rice family meal. The tenders are huge but the flavor is a 6 for me. The shrimp fried rice was good but in a large shrimp fried rice I only had 4 large shrimp. They need a whoopn for that. I wouldn’t get it again just because of that.

The strawberry cheese cake looked so delicious on the menu but when you get the actual cheesecake it’s dry & looks nothing like the picture. I was disappointed. I won’t be getting that again either.

I do plan to go back to try some of their other stuff on the menu like their fried shrimp and fried fish because that is my favorite. Overall, they’re pretty good if you don’t know what to eat and you wanna get something filling but they’re not a...

I was pleasantly surprised! I went in with standards kinda low. It's really hard to find a good fried chicken place nowadays. Even then th fried chicken here wasn't quite up there to my taste. But! And hear me out, the fried fish filet was DELISH! It smelt good, tasted good, had a crumbly, coat your fingers crispy crust.

I swear all the way home on my drive to Sulphur I was salivating. I took one bite but it was too hot to continue, but it left a warm, fuzzy, enticing aftertaste. Excellently seasoned. If you go I'd go for the fish.
