Waffle House — Restaurant in Lake City

I had ordered bacon then I asked “how much will it cost to add 1 egg and toast to the bacon. The waitress said $6.75. I get the bill and it’s $12.50. I said something. She said I can’t add the egg and toast to the bacon and it’s $6.75 by its self. I try explaining the question which was pretty clear. Obviously since she understood enough to explain herself for adding it but when I get upset she calls me out for being rude. What a common way to make it the customers fault. On top of that there was a manager right there who chose not to say a word. So for 1 egg, toast and 3 pcs of bacon I paid $12.50. A senior (I’m a senior and look like it) pays $7.50 for 2 eggs, toast and 2 pcs bacon OR a special for $8.50. Lake City is a small community and I can be very vocal. I would think they’d prefer to make their customers happy. I will never ever go back to this location and I will tell all my many many friends and associates the same. Bye...

This place is a stone's throw from my apartment and it is where I go when I have a late-night craving for breakfast food. I usually order a plain waffle, a sausage and cheese biscuit sandwich or the biscuit served with sausage gravy, and a Texas toast BLT.

BUT, besides the food and the proximity to my house, I really go to say hello to the awesome staff. Last winter my husband and I went in and we had lost like $20 and couldn't pay for the entire order. The wonderful and lovely server, her name is Jaime i believe, she put the money in out of her tips to help us out.

We made sure we were able to pay her back plus a little extra for her pocket just in time for the Christmas 🎄 holiday. I love this place because you don't find people like that just walking around, helping when they can today. We are lucky to have this spot right...

This was my first time at this "new" location in LC. The waitress was pleasant, and attentive and our bill was correct. With all that being said, I have to say that the cook was a rock star even though it seemed that the elderly lady that actually had a Rockstar shirt on was in his way constantly. He made our orders perfect and had the entire restaurant so happily eating they were silent! That is no short order in any Lake City establishment, believe me.
