Los Amigos — Restaurant in Lake Dallas

I was recommended to eat here by one of my clients. I was highly dissatisfied. I ordered a taco bowl. I told them I didn't want meat, cheese, or sour cream. I basically wanted a veggie taco bowl. I asked for guacamole (which they didn't have). When the taco bowl came out it was 75% lettuce and a table spoon of rice and beans I asked them if they could put more rice, beans, and tomatoes. They charged me extra $3 for the rice and beans and $2 more for the potatoes. They also charged me for my left over salsa. I asked if I could take my left over salsa to go and they said yes. Had I known I was going to be charged for left overs I would have never taken them. Had I known I was going to be charged for almost every single vegetable in my taco bowl I would have never ordered that bowl. I felt ripped off and I discussed the ticket with the cashier and they had no answers. Will not be going back and will never recommend that place to anyone else. Horrible service, They didn't get my order right, I called to inform them that I was missing 2 Tacos. The Owner argues with me stating that he didn't charge for them, witch I find it hard to believe since it was 4 barbacoa and 4 breakfast tacos. He got so angry when I told him. Sir, it was 4 and 4 how do you just charge 4 and 2🤦‍♂️ He rudely replied, well if you want them come pay for the other 2 tacos and hung up on me. I would give this place a 0-⭐ but I can't. I love this place. I go once a week. The enchiladas are my favorite and they have great hours (I got sick for a week and was starving at 8am one day but they were there to help me out!). It appears to be family-owned by a military veteran and (I assume) his wife who seems to do the bulk of the cooking. This means it’s not a formal or chain dining experience so temper your expectations on that front. But the food has always been fresh and delicious and the prices are very reasonable. They even declined to sell guacamole one day because they did not like the quality of the avocados. It says a lot that they place quality above an easy sale. Well worth stopping in or coming back...
