I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the City of Lake Dallas and its handling of the Winston Edmondson incident. As a victim of potential official oppression by Officer Edmondson, I filed a formal complaint hoping for a thorough and impartial investigation. However the City of Lake Dallas Police Department demonstrated a lack of transparency and diligence in their investigation.
The investigation into Officer Edmondson’s official oppression incident was hindered by the department's failure to provide crucial information such as the TLETS log history to Captain Clair Barnes of the Town of Little Elm. This omission raises serious concerns about the integrity of the investigative process and suggests a possible cover-up.
Furthermore, the fact that Officer Edmondson continues to harass me via social media, using the “City of Lewisville” Facebook page in which he is an administrator to spread misinformation and stage a false situation is really disturbing and concerning. His behavior only reinforces my belief that the City of Lake Dallas unwillingness to hold its former officer accountable for his actions is responsible for allowing this to continue.
I urge the City of Lake Dallas to take immediate action to rectify this situation. A thorough and transparent investigation into the TLETS log history and terminated Officer Edmondson's possible official oppression is necessary to restore public trust in law enforcement. Failure to do so will only perpetuate the injustice and further erode the community's confidence in the City of Lake Dallas...
Read moreThis review is a few years old but I had an accident about 7 years ago. My truck hit an oil spot over the bridge after it rained and I lost control and had an accident. I was not driving reckless or speeding but The cop gave me ticket for unsafe lane change even though that wasn’t what happened and it was completely out of my control. He didn’t even want to hear what I had to say. When he was in his cop car I thought he was riding up the accident report, but he ended up coming back and giving me a ticket . I had to take time of my busy work schedule to go to court to try to fight a ticket I didn’t deserve. The DA got mad because I was trying to fight it and asked me how deep my pocket were because I would have to spend it on paying for court fees and fines. Instead of dismissing it they gave a 90 day probation. The cop could have easily let me go with a warning. I mean accidents happen. Not sure how police can write tickets for something they didn’t see happen. I’m only writing this because I remembered how unjust the system is and how cops can say whatever they want and it’s your word against theirs even if you are completely innocent. I’m pretty sure the DA and the cops are golfing buddies and laugh about how many wrongful tickets they right. I don’t mind paying a ticket if it’s my fault if this was completely...
Read moreI was discriminated against during an arrest from lake Dallas police department. Officer(s) involved violated the ADA, specifically in regards to veteran status and the officer not granting reasonable accommodation after I informed him of disabilities and my veteran status. Then was proven with my veteran id card he acquired in my belongings. This blatant discrimination started when he first approached me all the way until I arrived in jail. The officer(s) would not grant reasonable accommodation for my disabilities and not doing so resulted in further damage to my physical and mental well being. Normally, I would handle this problem with local PD, however through some research, I concluded that one of the officers claimed to be a veteran also. So..he knew better and laughed at me for my anxiety over a wrongful arrest. It is important to note that as of writing this, there is no verdict on this manner. No charges have been filed but it is...
