Our youngest daughter wanted to try out this particular tea shop for her birthday. Glad we did. We had a party of 10 and made reservations. On arrival, we were impressed at how adorable this place looked outside. Very welcoming and colorful. Inside was quite homey with lovely decor on the walls. Bible verse plaques, chalk board menu, crosses, various pictures. Tables and chairs with slight distressed look. Our hosts were very sweet and excited to see us. Although our entire party was not complete, they didn’t mind. While waiting, they made recommendations on various teas to drink while we waited. Wife and I selected the Texas Twist. It had cinnamon, orange peel and citrus oil. When I took my first sip, I was immediately taken back in time to my grandmothers kitchen. She would on occasions make hot tea on a cold night and place a whole cinnamon stick in it. Brought back a great memory. I miss her. Eventually everyone gathered and we ordered our lunch. The scones were really good. Slightly sweet and simple with a small dollop of strawberry butter. The D’Vine chicken salad was awesome. I love chicken salad with grapes and pecans. Not one complaint about the food from everyone’s feedback. It was excellent! A few ordered desserts like cupcakes and peach cobbler with ice cream. Pretty popular little place. Several came to pickup orders and there were others dining in. Overall, we simply enjoyed our time together and literally the sense of family, not just with our party, but with our hostesses. They were all about taking care of their customers and answering any questions or making recommendations. Although we live a bit away, we will definitely make another trip for a quick getaway for lunch. Thank you so much for also making our daughters birthday an enjoyable time....
Read moreI went to lunch here with a friend yesterday. The place is cheerful and airy. Quiet, pleasant music played in the background. We were quickly greeted by a friendly server and given a cozy table near a window. The service was prompt, helpful and friendly. We both enjoyed pots of tea. I really like that they serve everything with real crockery and that it's all unique and pretty. I had the sample platter which included chicken salad, chickens and rice soup, quiche, a mini scone and fruit. It was all tasty and fresh. We both had cobbler for dessert, which was also good. I enjoyed the happy, relaxed atmosphere. We visited for a couple of hours and never felt rushed. The server was always cheerful and helpful. I look forward to going back and having one of their 'teas' with a friend. All their goodies looked yummy. The mini scone was...
Read moreI had a delightful time visiting this tea room! First off, the hostess treated us to a delightful tea tasting with absolutely delicious blends that complimented our meal well. Speaking of the meal, I can't recommend it enough! The quiche was light and airy, and wonderfully fluffy! I also got an in the garden salad, which went well with the rest of the meal.
And goodness, I got a peanut butter icebox pie for dessert and it was amazing! It was the perfect blend of cool and creamy, I'd buy a whole pie if I could! And the cinnamon loaf is equally delicious, soft and warm, but not cloying sweet like some cinnamon desserts can get. It was absolutely wonderful, and if I'm in the area again I'd love to pay a visit! (By the way, I did get vegetarian options while I was here, there was no trouble at...
