Trickler's Deli — Restaurant in Lake Dallas

So disappointed. Ruben: marble rye sliced like Texas toast was barely unevenly toasted. Corned beef was slice thick and only a few pieces. Seemed to be peeled from the loaf and grilled. Very dry. The dressing and sauerkraut was sparse. Anthony: Kaiser roll was a flat hamburger bun. The contents were sparse, greasy, and tasted like a dirty flat top grill. Potato salad was several days old and had begun to separate in its container. I think the staff was high. No other customers or orders on Saturday afternoon. They seemed confused about everything. 100% execution and preparation issues. They have the ingredients, but don’t know how to cook. When I asked what they had for dessert, they said we’re all out. Edited to say we have gone back twice since then and they made the orders wrong both times. The second time was the owner himself and instead of just letting me leave, he needed to argue with me about how HIS sign is wrong so i am being unreasonable. His ego seemingly could not handle he made the order wrong. I didnt even ask for a refund, i just wanted to leave but apparently wasnt allowed until he could saunter around feeling superior.

Just popped in on a rough day and was blessed to find potato skins!! The staff was sweet and helpful and the food was hot and fresh. Only thing missing was some green onions! My brother and I happened upon this spot, and decided to walk in and try it. The service was amazing, the two people working were so friendly and attentive to us! We learned they’re a local small business wanting to expand. This place is so good that they NEED to expand!! The food was so fresh tasting, I felt like I was in New York at an authentic deli. I had a bacon egg and cheese bagel and my brother had the corned beef hash. Safe to say we were very happy with our meals. Take time to stop by this place, it was so worth it and we will...
