As of Aug 2025, this place is under ownership called “Chakh Le Foodie”. And the review doesn’t apply. The food isn’t anywhere close to what it was before at this place. After several attempts, I wanted to update my review. The biriyani is bland and flavour less and the general quantity and quality for the price they charge is not value to me. The recent offer of BOGO biriyani was nonsense. The biriyani tasted like some leftover sambar rice with oil dripping out of the carry out box.

Old ownership: This restaurant has always been my go-to place for authentic Indian cuisine, especially their biryanis, which are truly exceptional. It’s rare to find such authenticity in flavors, and they never disappoint. Every dish is prepared with genuine ingredients and traditional recipes, making the food consistently amazing.

I’ve been visiting this place for years but never felt compelled to leave a review until now. The new management team is doing an outstanding job of maintaining the high quality and taste of the food, making great use of their talented chef. Goat ghee roast is my all time favourite here and so as their mysore masala dosa. Their weekend specials are always worth trying, offering unique and flavorful varieties that keep customers coming back.

Maybe the best Indian food I've ever had. I had the Navaratan Korma on two occasions. Consistently very good. Serving size is generous. I also had a veggie puff pastry, which was light on veggie content, but very tasty with the pastry shell being super light and flaky.

4-2-2025 Update: Was there again yesterday and had one of the goat dishes. It was super flavorful and the most tender goat I've ever had. My wife had the Butter Chicken which was also very good. It seemed to me that the Butter Chicken sauce was quite similar to the Navaratan Korma sauce.

Things to know: Their food is spicier than most Indian restaurants. If you want medium spiciness, I suggest asking for mild. Lunch is served from 11 to 2:30. Dinner begins at 4pm. Puff pastries and some other items are only available for dinner. I was told puff pastries often sell out within the first hour or two. They have several Indian beverages and desserts.
