I wish I could give 0 stars. This place was TERRIBLE. I will never go here again and you shouldn't either.
First I want to say- everyone in our group has worked customer service or serving at some point and we are very understanding to someone being "busy". This was not a matter of "being busy" and having an oops here or there. We tried to excuse it until it got to the point of being ridiculous.
We had a private room and had brought about 20 ppl in for a birthday. We called and told them this 1 week before the party. There was 1 server on each side of the room. The other half of our group was consistently 5 steps ahead of us. Half of our waters were spilled on the floor....so half of us just never got anything to drink. When that happened, she shut our grill off. Our waitress was not to be seen at all. She was there in the beginning and brought half of the drinks- sent another girl in with the other half that got dropped and after that, we didn't see our waitress for an hour? Birthday girl brought dirty dishes from apps to the kitchen...because no one came and cleaned them up. We stacked all our soup and salad dishes and empty drink glasses in the hand washing sink in the corner of this small room because no one came for them. People walked up to the front bar to order drinks because no one brought drinks... the chef came in to find that our grill was off....so that was cool. He chatted with us while we waited- his name was Tony- he was awesome. He definitely turned it all around but as awesome as he was...there was no recovering from the lack of a waitress. Multiple complaints to the "Managers" who did nothing- and didn't seem to care that we were having a terrible experience. When birthday girl asked for chop sticks in the beginning, the waitress rolled her eyes at her and just walked away. When i asked the waitress in the beginning for a Pepsi, she rolled her eyes at me and just never came back.... The other half of our group had awesome service compared to us. The waitress came in WAY after food was done and asked if we needed anything- i said a water and a Pepsi please- she rolled her eyes again and walked out- didn't ask anyone else what they wanted...and shocker- i still never got my Pepsi or water from her. WHAT A JOKE.
One of the guys finally went and "fired" our waitress and demanded that someone else take over. So the waitress from the other side stepped in and she brought us drinks- brought boxes and gave us our bills.
We were there for over 2 hours. --__--
I literally cannot believe that they wanted us to pay for this experience. I wish i had taken pictures of the dirty dishes in the sink in the corner to share. She comped the entire meal of the birthday girl and her husband- after a fight. The rest of us had to fight and argue with "manager" for a discount. I have never seen such a lack of customer service from so many people in one establishment. And to fight with them about them taking care of us....my gawwwd.
Our waitress was good at 1 thing- rolling her eyes.
Do yourself a favor. Do not waste...
Read moreI am gluten free and going out to dinner can cause anxiety. I called this restaurant ahead of time to make sure they could accommodate my diet restriction. They said yes it would be fine. When I arrived I asked about it again to make sure. The manager said they could cook my food in the kitchen to make sure it’s gluten free (for the hibachi) he didn’t inform me that some things I just wouldn’t be able to have. Which is understandable. For example I couldn’t have the soup. Then I couldn’t have the salad dressing (but they sent out plain lettuce?) and I knew I couldn’t have the noodles. These are things I wish I had known before my boyfriend and I sat down to do the hibachi. I only found out while the service was starting. Even though I asked two times before about this. No problem I get it but I could tell my diet restriction was causing the whole table to have to wait on me. The server had to go ask many questions and when the chef came out he tried to confirm with me my meal but I said “mine is supposed to be cooked in the kitchen. I am gluten free.” The chef brought his cart back to the kitchen and the whole table was confused and annoyed. At this point my boyfriend and I just wanted to go home. I felt embarrassed that my diet restriction was causing so much confusion and work for the staff. When we went up to tell the server and manager that we are just going to leave the manager immediately got defensive and upset with us. Rolled his eyes and was trying to argue with us about how my food is already being cooked in the back and that he informed me that not everything would be gluten free. I did not hear that from him the two prior times I asked. It’s expensive to pay for the hibachi. If I would have known how much hassle it would be and that I wouldn’t get half of the meal, I would never have come. I felt bad and I would have sat back down to pay for the meal that was being cooked but the manager was being so rude that I decided we should definitely not stay and pay the price. It was a bad experience. I get people have off days and I hope that’s all that was going on but I would strongly suggest that anyone with dietary restrictions to not eat at Osaka and I hope the manager can see that if he would have discussed with me in a kind way and help figure out alternatives I would have gladly sat back down and been a paying customer. Read moreDeserves a 0/5 stars as was rushed and not welcomed. Everyone was very rude. I decided to take my siblings out to eat so we could go shopping at the outlets after. My server named Vicky and please be warned of this review, was making fun of me for ordering such a large meal as it was for my siblings and I and kept laughing and asking if I was sure I wanted to buy the amount of food. I also took into consideration it could have been me being young with other young people that she thought she could take advantage of me. She then started talking to other employees and started laughing. I brushed it off, soon she came back with our food and stood to watch us eat and chuckled a bit as if she had put something in it. I then ordered more food because I felt I was over reacting and still she just stood at our table and watched us eat. She then threw the soy sauce plate at my younger sister's hand and kept being rude to her. That was a big no no to me for especially tipping her. She then asked last minute to pour water in our cups as we were getting ready to leave. She pulled the tab and stood right by me to see if I was giving her a tip. She kept repeating herself saying, " You do not have to tip, it is not included." I said, " I know as it is my choice. " she then kept on repeating herself laughing and instantly became frustrated. She then asked out loud why I didn't I give her a tip and if her service was bad. I said," I have my reasons and I am not forced to." I didn't give her one due to the fact of horrible service and my beliefs but I didn't want to bring it up. She then started getting closer to me as I was trying to leave from my booster and blocked me. I said, " I am leaving I am not dealing with this force." She would not move out of my way and started clenching her teeth in anger. I then said three times," Excuse me." She then came closer to my face and grabbed her pen from the tab and grabbed it tightly and tried to strike it against my face and attack me. The lady behind us saw and had her mouth open. I didn't want to start anything as my younger siblings were there and my baby nephew and I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ that I don't even know how to fight. She then threw the tab and the high chair and...
