First of all, this is possibly the best taco truck in Western WA in terms of food. I have been going there for 2 years now whenever I'm in the area. I'm sad the first review I leave for them is going to be only 3 stars. Why? They recently raised the price steeply, but that's understandable. After all, our family of 4 used to spend just over $30 there with plenty of leftover for the next day. So I'm ok with them raising the price eventually. But today, after spending $45, I was surprised how much less food we are getting compared to a couple months ago. You can see the bottom of the box through the carnitas. Tortas seem pretty flat on the top. It used to be puffy like a pillow. Perhaps what was most disappointing was the small amount of sides. We ordered tortas, carnitas, and pollo asado. I think usually at least 2 out of the 3 come with pickles. But we only got 2 small pieces of pickle carrot and 1 piece of radish. There were a lot less rice and salad too. These are the things that don't cost much. So it's particularly disappointing that they are skimping on those while...
Read moreHonestly i didn't expect much since most places are closed Sunday. The reviews sounded good so we drove a little out of the way to try this place. So glad we did! We were hungry so we ordered 3 beef tacos, 3 pork and 3 chicken. The meat was sooooo good!! All 3 tasted so fresh and delicious! My mouth is watering thinking about it....
They brought our food out on one plate perfectly designed. They clearly took the time to organize the 9 tacos. A+ on presentation. A+++ on the taste!!
They brought out 3 different sauces. Green was mild, red was medium and yellow was 100% pure habenero. They gave us a free bottle of water each as well. They were very kind and generous. We will be definitely be back and out spreading the word...
Read moreThis taco truck was a religious experience. The menu is endless, a fractal storm of possibility and flavor. The staff are both kind and attentive, and any language barrier dissolves as you sit in a nearby cover and smell cooking food, properly seasoned, and the world slows down as it arrives
The utensils are plastic. The napkins paper. The plates repurposed take out containers. It doesn’t matter because in this food was the face of God. Savory, delectable, with vegetables that crunched and filled my mouth with the gentle warmth of a dog seeing his master come back from war.
Stop here. Buy food. Tip well. It will be the most important thing you do in Seattle this year.
Note: this is a genuine review....
