This Starbucks is just off the Burke Gilman, so it’s frequented by bicycles, runners, etc. Because it gets pretty heavy traffic, the counter runs efficiently and they get your drinks out quickly. The don’t sell a lot of merchandise, or the other extras you sometimes find at other Starbucks, but this is made up for by the good service. There’s a drive through as well, but this doesn’t seem to dramatically detract from service at the counter. There’s a decent amount of seating, but because it’s so busy, it’s hard to get a seat especially if you come in at a busier time. Additionally, there aren’t any large tables, just one-person tables, bar stools at the counter, some small two-person tables, and some armchairs.
The entrance is sort of funky, they aren’t officially delegated, but everyone seems to use one door as the in-door, and the other as the out-door, and when someone goes against the flow, it really disrupts the flow of traffic. Ample parking because the Starbucks is right on the whole mall plaza, so even though there’s some officially Starbucks-designated parking, really you can use the whole Starbucks. It’s perfect to grab a cup of coffee and then go do...
Read moreI feel very conflicted and wish I could give this Starbucks 3.5 stars. This Starbucks is large but cozy, nice seating areas and they generally get my drinks correct (85% of the time?) The staff isn't especially friendly and as a former starbucks barista I see when their service comes up short. (No eye contact, not calling out names or thanking customers, etc) But my main complaint is honestly the cleanliness. This Starbucks is consistently the dirtiest Starbucks in Seattle I have been to. The trash cans are consistently overflowing, the bathrooms have stains on the baseboards, there is often water or urine on the floor, there is visible dirt and dust in the same areas that has built up over time. I understand how difficult it can be in a busy store to have time to clean well and consistently and to make time to deep clean but it is also the Starbucks standard. I hope that the manager makes cleanliness a priority in the future because it definitely effects the...
Read moreGood place great coffee new compost packing odd and space age not that impressive , straws were lackluster and not really fantastic coffee was fair to middling, bacon Gouda sandwiches were divine baristas were all golden goddesses smiles and services. Mocha cookie crumble was watery and decidedly disappointing, but that was not the barista's fault. The 24 bloody degrees Fahrenheit might have had something to do with that and our charming snow apocalypse. All in all, if you need to get coffee this is a pretty fantastic place. The drive-thru not helpful when people don't actually park as close as possible but leave 6 ft of space between each other so nobody can order behind them because thoughtlessness seems to be the watchword in this...
