The staff were great! Friendly and patient.
Everything I saw was clean and nothing caused any alarm or question.
The menu is fairly easy to read and understand.
I ordered the hummus plate with beef/lamb. If there was anything I'd have to say...I need more bread to go with that plate. The bread itself was delicious! The amount of hummus is very generous. The portion ratio of meat, veggies, and hummus is very well balanced.
I also ordered a side of garlic sauce, which is a small 8oz. (?) tub. No bread came with that. I usually have garlic sauce on my plates, bowls, or gyros. The sauce was good, but could be a bit more punchy with more garlic flavor. Some places have a serious garlic kick with their sauces that I love. Then again...those are more of a garlic paste or butter.
The drinks are separate and on the side for you to grab from the display.

Solid example of good bad Geek food. Unfancy and unpretentious and at the same time likely to be enjoyed by Greek people.
I got the lamb-beef mystery kabobs. And yes something similar is served in Greece and eaten by Greek people. The food quality was top-shelf.
I hope they do okay at this location. They don't really fit the ambience/genre of the Lake-Forrest Towne center so far as fear factor during the lockdown. They seemed more interested in running a gyro joint than in pushing Covid-19 trauma.
It was odd being in there in line with a pretty good crowd of people happily awaiting food with kids running around while just one counter over the staff at the bakery were at MOPP level 4 and hysterically trying not to infect each-other, generally paralyzed by fear.
Decent hole in the wall gyro joint. If they make it through the lockdown I think they've got a good run...

I LOVE GYRO BOSS. I’ve been coming here for a while now, and everything about this place is amazing, from the food to the staff. Every time I go, I order the chicken shawarma plate, and it’s truly delicious and flavorful. The shawarma is cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice. The greek salad is always fresh and crisp, and it’s great even on its own. Their pita is always warmed to order and it pairs well with garlic sauce, as well as hummus. I go so often, pretty much all the guys know me + my order, and I feel so taken care of each time I visit.
I always recommend Gyro Boss to all of my friends/family because it’s just that good. Shoutout to Saeed and everyone that work there, you all...
