Me: Go to counter to order food and drink You: Call out to me at bar for me to come and pick up my drink Me: Go to bar and pick up drink. You: Either: A) Failed to self-identify glass was dirty, or B) Did identify but served it to me anyway Me: Ask for clean glass You: Drop off food without any napkins or silverware Me: Walk to counter to get napkins You: Never performed a one-minute checkback. Me: Go to counter to pay and you ask me what name you put my order under – as if I would know what you entered. You: Ask for tip.
Tip? For what? For what? I did everything. I’m insulted that you would even ask.
Food: Never have I ever had runny hummus before. Did someone forget the tahini? There was too much of something – I think lemon, but I could be wrong. I wouldn’t say it was bad, but it definitely was not great.
Clearly, I think your place su!!s. But there’s more to it than just bad food and service. It’s such a lost opportunity for your business – which I really wish was great. I’m a vegan, so when I find a place with vegan options, I get excited to go and hope that this will be a new place where I can become a regular at. So, you really let me down.
Owners, you need to take a step back and see what you are doing wrong. Why don’t you have a line of people waiting to get in? Why do you have more empty tables than occupied tables? Every day is an audition for customers. When you open the doors, do you look to your crew and say, “Get ready everyone. Lots of different choices for drinks of all kinds-cider, beers, sake, mixed drinks, coffee, and a limited food menu with shareables, a few sandwiches, some salads and a couple of snack boards with meat and cheese. I did not try any but what I saw people eating looked tasty. Next time.
There was a nice choice of assorted beers on tap and a decent selection of singles and four packs in a fridge in the back. I don't know if these can be purchased and consumed onsite but they are available nonetheless.
I would add that there was a slight mix up in my order resulting in getting a different beer than I originally ordered. The staff (and the owner, I assume) took care of this problem in a satisfactory manner for all. I like the service here.
There are plenty of games around and it seemed like gamers were stopping in with their friends. As noted elsewhere, there are no TVs here to watch a game so if that is what you are interested in you should go elsewhere. But come in and get a...
Read moreThis is a cozy little spot with 13 rotating taps, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. They also have a good food menu with sandwiches, salads, a pretzel with beer cheese upon request, hummus plate, and some guacamole or bruschetta and chips. I recommend the Reuben, but their charcuterie boards are great as well! But you’re not restricted from bringing in your own food! There are themed nights, Tuesdays are trivia, it gets crowded and a bit loud, Wednesdays for board games, you can bring your own or play what they have. Thursday is for vinyl, it’s a busy night but if you bring a record they’ll do their best to play a side. Fridays and weekends are pretty chill! They also just opened The Burrow, their new cafe side, offering exciting latte flavors and coffee starting off a few days a week. I haven’t tried everything at the cafe yet, but the latte was fantastic, not a sugar-bomb like a well-known coffee chain. They also...
