Barista was defensive and kept arguing with me on the topic of what traditional macchiato is. I just wanted an espresso with two scoops of milk foam. He wanted to charge me for a latte. I kindly explained how a macchiato is made and that it usually costs less (close to the price of cortado or espresso). He was defensive explaining how drinks are made in the US vs Europe. (I mentioned I was originally from there.)

I’ve been to multiple third wave coffee shops in OC. They usually know what I mean by a traditional macchiato and how it’s different from what Starbucks calls a macchiato.

Best (iced) latte I've ever had. First time in the area, and my coworker wanted Starbucks, after that I knew I had to find a shop with proper roasts and espresso drinks. Landed on this one and damn glad I chose it. The Spanish (something) Latte, with the condensed milk, was the best and blew me away. Sensory X is also top notch for a simple latte. My coworker a solutely loved the chocolate croissants, which did look fantastic if I didn't eat the free breakfast at the hotel right before. Wish I asked for a bag of coffee, whatever roast they're using, not sure if there's coffee...
