Edit 10/11/24: It is patently untrue that I received any free drinks or a refund. There were a few other customers on this day who were as frustrated as I was by their experience and maybe I am being confused with them, but to this day have not received any refund. I know one customer demanded a refund on the day and maybe I’m being mistaken for them but my card statement still has the charge from this day and no refund so lol. Also, I never go out of my way to write negative reviews. If you look at my profile you can see that. I was just so disheartened by this experience that I felt compelled to share. I stand by what I said and I can’t see myself returning after this frustrating experience and knowing that there isn’t anything that might prevent it from happening again. I will just take the $40 loss and keep it pushing lol.

Very disappointed by my experience today. I do enjoy the food here, but today I placed an order online for takeout at 11:45 AM. I arrived 20 minutes later and was told “just a few more minutes.” I was told this over and over. I did not receive my food until 12:30. My entire lunch break was wasted. I never got any more information than “a few more minutes” each time I checked, even as I watched people who arrived after me receive their food. They did not offer any sort of refund for free gift for dealing with this debacle. Like I said, I do enjoy the food but I cannot waste my whole lunch break waiting for food with such little...

I love this restaurant. The ownets treat me like family whenever I walk in. They always greet me by my name which ,a such a nice personal touch. I scrolled through the other reviews and was disappointed by the comment made about the owner sitting behind the counter putting orders into his computer. Good for him to have found a efficient way to process orders. It is never easy standing on your feet 12 hours a day. Anyone who has worked in the restaurant business knows what 30 years or more can do to your feet and back. I will agree that it is expensive for the amount of meat but really, when the food is prepared that well I will gadly pay. The fire feta dip and the eggplant dip are amazing. The pita is to die for and we are all addicted to Avo,s Chicken and vegetables. It's not oftwn that one is privileged to be able to enjoy the labor of a real mom and pop restaurant. Woulds above a chain restaurant. I love the food,I love the friendly hard...

I am not usually the person to leave a negative review on anything. But this was hands down the worst experience I have ever had. Undercooked food, overpriced, bad service.

I went to lunch with coworkers and had to wait over 30 mins for food. My chicken was extremely undercooked. I asked if they could cook it a bit longer. They were annoyed saying I “wasted the food” and I had to wait another 30 mins. At this point, everyone was done eating and I was running late for work. I asked if I could just get a refund instead. Which I usually would never ask for but it had been an hour and I hadn’t received any eatable food. They refused me a refund and proceeded to get extremely mad at me for asking. Lost over $20 that day and didn’t get any eatable food. My coworkers and I were all shocked at the response. As a local in the area, I would 100% would not recommend - especially with all of the other great...

Not big on Mediterranean/Greek food, but wife wanted to eat something healthy, so here I am. But I must say the food was great and very fresh. The pita bread was amazing and the chicken kabobs are the best I ever had. The chicken was marinated and cooked perfectly. My wife loved the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. And the salad was fresh and cold. This is definitely a family owned business. The owner was working the cash register and I believe his wife(?) was doing the cooking and she did a great job! We ordered the family meal deal and all the food was great. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Update: My review was not mistake, I went to your restaurant for my birthday, I live in Chicago and I was on business trip on that day so I wanted to treat myself with nice Greek food (all Greek restaurants in Chicago area are awesome, so I assumed this can't be mistake). I had such a disappointment at this place and it ruined my day like no other restaurant in my life. Teach your waiter and your cook to serve food properly or find other one or close that place if you are unable to run it properly. BTW I left more than gracious tip (more than 20%) because I'm not cheap person even if they didn't deserve anything.

Keto and Diabetic friendly dishes. This is a family business. The owner was very nice about customizing my order to fit dietary needs. Kebob combo with vegetables and double salad. No carbs, so no rice and no pita bread (by request). It was a bit pricey for the portion size, like $18. For that price, I would want at least one more Kebob since it doesn't have the rice and bread filler. However, the food was fresh. The salad had mixed greens, including baby Spinach...which you can't get anywhere these days.
