Ultimately my last review for this location: I just noticed something after reading the other reviews!! Wow, if you have a hispanic last name you have nothing but compliments!! This tells me all I need to know!!
My 1st review : I only wish the employees were friendlier. I dont think they like their job. My 2nd review: I wrote the above post months ago and all I want to say is it only got worse! I figured with such a large raise in pay recently they would feel more appreciated or at least compensated, so I gave them another try. Disappointed once again!! I was the first person in line at 6:50 am awaiting for them to open in just about 10 mins. Instead of a friendly greeting at 7am, after a long graveyard shift, a very rude male worker simply said can you get out of the drive through line you caused my timer to start. Not knowing what he meant by this, I replied, well, you open in less than 2 minutes and I've been waiting here over 10 mins for you to open. He just rudely repeated himself. And so I said, "aren't you the guy who was just sweeping the parking lot, who told me you were open?" He just very angrily said " I said get out of my line, you set off my timer!" At this point, I was outraged. And I told him so. I just drove off because I was worried about what he might do to my food! Honestly, I have never once had a good experience at this particular Jack in the Box. I've been to others, and think they have pretty great deals and decent food as far as fast food goes. But, the Jack in the Box on Rancho Prkwy and Lake Forest drive have the rudest most impatient workers I've ever come across. They definitely have no business being in a customer service position. I feel the manager at this location either hires people that they know or family members. They spend more time chatting amongst each other in Spanish and make you feel like you are just bothering them when you come in. They are unqualified in customer service and actually down right mean. They never get the order right, and get mad if you say anything about it! They DO NOT deserve the mandatory raise they just got this year! They make as much as I do now, and after I spent 2 years in college! You think they would at least be grateful for such an undeserved raise! I don't mean all fast food establishments either, I've worked in fast food for years as a youngster and I know it's a fast paced job that requires hard work. But, it's also a customer service position that requires friendly employees! This Jack in the Box displays niether of these qualities! In my line of work, you'd be fired the first time you were as rude to the customers as they are always at this location!! After all, serving me is not a favor to me, it's thier job! And without the people like me going to thier establishment, they would be out of a job! I will NEVER go here again because I can see now that nothing changes here, even after being told by the manager that theyd look into it! Homestly they really don't hire people at this location who can either handle the job or that know how to treat the customers! Not all locations are like this. But this particular location is just awful!! Its very sad and frustrating! I warn everyone I know, NOT to go here, and I have heard the same complaint from others. So I'm not alone in my opinion! Read moreThis J-n-B is on my way home from work. I stopped by this morning and wanted to try their new smashed burger. I was told that they do not have them now. So I got a sausage with egg and cheese combo. I went through the drive thru. Good thing I always try to set up my food before I start driving. This sandwich was in 3-4 individual parts. I had to put the sandwich back together before I could eat it. The hash brown was cold. However, the small Coke was good and there were no dribbles down the side of the cup. By the time I got my sandwich back together, I was only able to take 1 bite of the hash browns and could not force myself to try any more. The sandwich was also cold by the time I got everything together and was ready to eat. They also have signs up letting you know that if you want an extra sauce you have to pay for it. But, if you order on the app, you don't have to pay extra.
I do, usually, like J-n-B over other fast food restaurants but it seems like over the last year they have really gone down hill....
Read moreAbsolutely disappointed on more than one occasion with the horrendous drive through service. Was waiting at the drive thru intercom on January 3rd 2025 @ 5:50pm to place my order for several minutes with absolutely ZERO acknowledgement from the attendant. Tired of waiting and holding up the drive thru line, I finally asked if anyone was there to take my order. Now if at this point the drive thru attendant apologized for the wait, I would not be writing this negative response. Nope. What I did get was a very impatient, rude and annoyed sounding woman that muttered something unintelligible, and only AFTER I had to holler at the intercom for attention. Absolutely unacceptable. Once I pulled up to the window, I again did not receive any apology or acknowledgement of the inattentiveness and outright rude behavior.
