Surprising experience here makes for a complex yet poignant review. We walked in and ordered for the first time ever. My partner asked for vegetarian patty. We both got burgers but found out his was a normal beef and he’s only vegetarian. We were very upset, we didn’t notice till we got home. I decided to call them on it. Here’s how it went:
They recognized what went wrong and apologized immediately without making me feel like a Karen. They were COOL and KIND, offering OUTSTANDING customer service and offered a solution that worked for me.
Customer service is so hard to find these days as it takes intuition and professionalism, a combo as rare as gold these days.
The food itself was not to my liking, the fries were okay, the basic burger lacked everything which was honestly stupid in my opinion, put some iceberg lettuce on it and a pickle come on lol! Nobody wants just meat and cheese and buns that’s so greasy and fatty.
I actually cut the sandwich up and incorporated it into homemade pasta...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. The staff is amazing and if the stars were based on service alone, they'd get all 5 of the stars but because I'm reviewing the food too, the over all experience averages to a 2 star rating for me. We are first timers. We wanted to keep it simple and try their regular bacon burgers so we each got one of those with fries and ranch. Everything was overwhelming salty. I love salt. But this was too much. Thr fries were crispy and taste good but could only eat a few due to the amount of salt on them..not sure if that was a mess up or not. It was legitimately unbearable. The ranch was weird it tasted more like tartar sauce which I love...but I wanted ranch The burger was so salty. Overly seasoned. That's what killed it. You need a few glasses of water to eat It. The Lettuce tasted like it came pre shredded in a bag too. I don't like that weird flavor from bagged shredded Lettuce. If you know, you know.. We are still on the hunt for a great burger...
Read moreBest damn burger in Oregon. Yep. Just said that. I’ve had burgers at some of the best restaurants in Portland and nothing compares to the epicness that is Killer Burger. First, their fries are perfection. Similar to Five Guys fries, but leveled up.
The burgers are last meal worthy. Juicy, flavorful and so fresh. The buns are perfectly fluffy. The classic is a solid go-to, but my favorite is the peanut butter bacon pickle burger. It’s the most incredible fusion of flavors. I know it sounds weird. I was skeptical at first, but it was love at first bite. The quality of the meat, veggies, everything is fantastic.
My family also appreciates they have good gluten-free buns and veggie patties. Staff are all very kind and professional.
On top of all that, it’s owned by one of the most beloved running backs in University of Oregon history. As an alumne, that’s a win-win....
