Walked in and the place only had a handful of customers. So one would assume that service would be good and quick. However that assumption ended up being horribly wrong. Not only was I not greeted as came in. I was completely ignored as the staff up front even looked right at me. I walked around to see if I could get help. After about 4 minutes a waitress almost ran right into me and then rudely asked "can I help you?". At this point I am appauled , bit still hungry. She tells me I can sit anywhere. So, I do. After another several minutes of waiting on service in an almost empty restraint another group comes in. She greets them immediately, seats them, and immediately ask them what they want to drink and if there were any appetizers they wanted. That group left almost immediately after that. Guessing they didn't see anything on the menus they wanted. As that group is walking out the door this waitress looks over at me as if she completely forgot that I was even there and ask me what I want to drink. I ask if they have ginger beer and she told me that they do. So, i order that, a water, the pulled pork sandwich, and the nachos. About 10 minutes go by she brings me the bbq pulled pork sandwich. There was barely any BBQ on it at all. As I finish eating my sandwich she comes back up to me to tell me she doesn't have ginger beer so I order a sprite and have to tell her again I also wanted a water. Several minutes later (again in an EMPTY restraint) she bring me sprite and water. By this point I am completely done with the sandwich and thinking maybe the nachos are still coming... Nope... Not today or ever. I end up getting up after having a couple sips of water and had to ask the bartender for my ticket. Server didn't even bother to ask about it. Service here is awful and they clearly do not care about their customers. I will never be back or recommend this...

I am giving 2 stars because the food was good. The service was good up until I paid with a hundred dollar bill. I had ordered a sandwich and a hard cider. The server/bar tender on duty gave me the total, which only included the sandwich. When he came back out, I asked if he had charged me for the drink because I didn't want to unintentionally steal if he forgot to charge me for the hard cider. He said he had comped it for reasons of convenience because he was the manager. I did not count my change and tipped him. After we left, my friend was complaining that he had not given her the coins on her change for her meal. I realized I had not received any coins back on the $14 & change sandwich I had paid for either, so I counted my change back from the $100 bill. I had received back $77 & no coins on a $14 & change bill. So either the manager made a mistake or is dishonest, I'm not going to make any assumptions. I let it go because even though the $9&change I was shorted and the $5 I tipped, ended up amounting to over 100% tip for him, minus the hard cider I was supposedly comped; in the long run, it's not that much $ to lose all of my business over & I had an important school event to be at for my child's school. (The only reason I was up there in the first place.) So I am not saying don't eat here, but either pay with a card or count your change right...

I would love to say that this place had five star service but that...... It did not. As a local, I enjoy doing reviews around the place that I live, this place failed for friendly service. Typically I enjoy Marty Byrds, except for tonight. I met the DJ, J, who was pretty amazing and throwing it down. Hey girl hey. I met some people from out of town, Angie, Tanner, Joey and whoever else I met but can't remember the names of because I suffer with memory problems. I asked for a pen which takes about 3 seconds, only I had to wait a whole lot longer than that because he had to take care of other people at the bar that wasn't busy. Either way, no bartender should act like that with locals or anybody for that matter. All I needed was a place out of towns phone number that is also here local, because I support local, but that took far too long for not being busy and I wasn't even acknowledged. Because of the service, I decided not to stick around and made sure to tell the bartender that I would be writing a bad review on him and the only thing he could do was shrug his shoulders. Every other time I have enjoyed myself but tonight was not one of them and for that I will not be returning, nor will I be bringing people from out of town from another restaurants to this...

If you’re anywhere near Lake of the Ozarks and you don’t stop at Marty Byrde’s, you’re missing out on something real. From the second we walked in, it was nothing but energy — lights low, bass thumping, and a crowd that actually knows how to have fun without judgment. You’ve got locals, tourists, boat crews, lake girls, vets, newcomers — all dancing like they’ve known each other for years. The staff was cool, the drinks hit just right, and the DJ knew what he was doing. Transitions were tight, and people were losing their minds when the drops hit. It’s like a floating Vegas night dropped into the Ozarks with better people and a flag flying in the background. What makes it special isn’t just the music or the lights — it’s the vibe. There’s no ego here. People high-fiving strangers, dancing like it’s their last summer, and laughing like they’ve been free forever. If you’re looking for a polished “stand-around-and-sip” place, this ain’t it. But if you want real connection, wild energy, and a night you’ll be talking about for weeks? Welcome to Marty Byrde’s.

We have been to Marty Byrde’s a few different times, the first time being last summer. It was great the first few times. The staff, food/drinks, and prices were great and the outdoor patio had an awesome view. This afternoon was a very different experience. The food was the absolute worst food I’ve ever paid for. We ordered a beer, a cocktail, fish and chips, and chicken strips, all totally just shy of $50. We were beside ourselves when we got one microwaved fish fillet with fries and one chicken patty cut into strips… definitely not more than $15 worth of food. The worst part of it all is the bathrooms. The bathroom didn’t appear to have a soap dispenser anywhere. Not totally sure if ownership changed but it takes the cake on worst restaurant experiences.

I just stopped here on .y way out of the ozarks RIGHT before the main season, so it was just bad weather. They were really nice. I sat outside with my small dog in my bag because they only had barstools with no backs so I didn't want to try to set her up on a blanket on a tall stool. Cheeseburger was your average restaurant $10 cheeseburger and fries. Some of the graffiti ticked me off , but who knows how the average person here actally feels. I didn't get to go inside because of my dog but I see they have an ironic laundry machine to take pictures with. It's a good theme and you can see the lake from the outside. Bartender was cool but not amazing. Random people I talked to on the way out were awesome.
