I don't like leaving reviews, unless they're positive mostly and even then, not my thing. But after reading even more of these reviews after having just went to this location today, I feel almost stupid that I even went there and didn't read the reviews prior! I eneded up calling the corporate number and speaking to someone as I usually find that's the better way to deal with serious issues at any restaurant. But reading so many reviews here with the same experience I just had I figured just calling corporate wasn't going to get anywhere. I love the sonic drinks, but there isn't one closer than 20mins from where I live, so when I was working in the area of this one today, I was so excited as I had been waiting a few months now to get a new type of drink! I regret it now. Just like the other reviews have stated, I pulled up to 3 bays/stalls that had a busted screen, the 3rd one the lady that answered when I hit the order button sounded nice and pleasant, but after a few words she told me to go to the next bay as she couldn't hear me. I wasn't going to pull out to try to find a 4th one that works!! As I was backing away an employee yelled to me she'd take my order right there. (Which was nice, and she also was nice, however, at least 2 employees had been standing around right there outside anyway talking to each other the whole time as I backed in and out like an idiot 3x! There was one other car sitting there total, so how could not one of them just walked up and taken my order anyway in the 1st place!?) Got my drink, a small since I just wanted to try it to see if I even liked it. I did. All 4 or 5 sips literally. Not even exaggerating. The cup was FULLL to the top with ice. So I got less than a handful of sips from it. No one seems to care about anything anymore. No pride in anything. I have money issues lately, so do so many others, why isn't the owner/manager PLUS the employees here wanting to MAKE money by servicing customers at a drive in? It's been a simple concept for decades, nothing new about how to run a clean, good fast food w happy employees as someone mentioned here is literally across the street at great culvers! Used to enjoy an occasional special trip to a sonic well this one turned me off of them all now. Very sad. July 10th....I had already contacted corporate before I left the review. Since I knew that was going to go nowhere(just based on the conversation with the person taking my incident, and I still never heard anything back from corporate so I just doubt it will go anywhere)I left the review in hopes adding my experience along with many others' similar experiences will help to make a drastic enough change to get this sonic in clean and working order....
Read moreI will never EVER go to Sonic again. What I went through yesterday in order to get a sundae for myself and my son was just insane. I could write two pages worth of ridiculousness just to describe this ONE interaction, but instead I'll try to summarize.. I wanted two sundaes that we saw advertised on a sign right next to their employee door. The app wouldn't work, spent 10 minutes trying to log into it before I gave up and pressed the button to order. I was then told that I needed to go to the drive through, even after an employee came to my car and asked if I had ordered and I hadn't due to the app problems, never mentioning that they wouldn't take my order at the stall. So I go to the drive through speaker where I am told over the speaker that they will take my order at the window. Ok.. go to the window.. ask for two of their Oreo cheesecake sundaes that are advertised for $3.99. I am told I have to order those through the app. Then I tell them the app won't work. After much back and forth between employees and much confusion about whether I am even allowed to purchase the sundaes, they open the window and hand me a cup full of ice cream, and then just stare at me like I am supposed to leave now. I hadn't even paid. So I asked for a second sundae AGAIN, and then a second employee comes and tells me that they gave me that for free and I'll have to pay $2 for a second one. I was confused, sitting there with a $20 bill IN MY HAND.. I said thank you, but I am willing to pay for my ice cream, I would just like a second one. She takes my $20, and more back and forth go on between the two female employees about what to do with me.. mind you I had already told the first employee that what I was asking for was the advertised special that is on a window sign right outside of their door, to which she replied "Oh yeah, it is!".. a few minutes later I am handed some sort of thrown together concoction and given $12.65 back from my $20. I am just stunned at this point. The first employee apologizes, offers me napkins, and I drive away. This whole series of events took about 25 minutes.. The ice cream "sundaes" that we were given weren't even made like they were supposed to be made and were not good. I felt like I employee 2 just didn't want to deal with me at all, even though through all of this, I remained pleasant though obviously confused as to why this was all happening. UPDATE: Reached out to Customer Service via the information provided in the owner's reply. I got a response asking for the receipt and additional confirmation. I supplied everything as requested. It's been almost 2 weeks and I've heard nothing back. I've left multiple follow up emails to no avail. This just goes to show that Sonics truly has a customer service problem and it appears to be from top to bottom... Very disappointing.
3 bad experience... Slow at preparing food, incompetent employees, and unhelpful corporate customer service.
