Super shady business. The owner started backpeddling out of the deal the moment I started asking questions about the condition and paint finish. We’d already negotiated a price for a dresser I found on their website, and I was about to give her my credit card number when I remembered that I hadn’t yet asked about the condition or paint finish (I was trying to figure out if I needed to have it refinished/painted). The owner seemed almost offended by this inquiry—and that’s when things started getting shady. Suddenly, she had to go check and see if the piece was still available, and of course it wasn’t. Read more“The daybed is yours!” The owner wrote to me after we negotiated a price that was agreeable to us both. Unbeknownst to the owner, a full price offer was made during our negotiation through the “Chairish” site. So, after our verbal and written agreement, she cancelled our deal and blamed it on the “Chairish” site policies, even though she still had possesion of the daybed and the abilty to make a fair judgement call.
