First Watch — Restaurant in Lake Saint Louis

Considering they've been open for 6 days, they're doing great. Im going to nitpick a bit, but that only because First Watch is great and there isn't much they can improve once they work their "newnes" kinks out. We signed up for the waitlist online. When we arrived they told us it would be another 35-45 minute wait. (What is the point of the wait list online then?). News ro us, we were sat in less than 10 minutes. So the hostess needs more time to understand the online waitlist option, no biggie. Our waitress was being shadowed by a trainer, and still delivered the wrong dish with the rest of our tablet's food. She offered to make it right, which we appreciated, but did not take the offer. The wrong dish was also delicious so we didnt mind at all. :) The patio is covered, but the morning sun is not pleasant for a few tables against the wall (just out another advertisement poster up and it would solve that problem). We were so excited to get a First Watch in LSL. Today we finally braved the crowd and long wait. Our first impression employees to lack enthusiasm for the job. We sat at the bar to bypass the 35-50 min. wait. Which we had expected. Our service continued to be under whelming, of which we chalked up to the restaurant being new. Upon checking out, we were assisted by the manger. My husband was paying and the card machine said to remove the card, The manger said...you took the card out too soon. My husband relayed the card reader message to the manger. His reply to my husband was "yeah I sure it did". Needless ro say. We had out fill between the waitstaff and the manger. We may try again. First time visiting this new location, but frequent other locations. It was a Sunday morning and I knew it would be busy when I put my name in ahead online, and the wait was 45-60 minutes which ended up being about 50 minutes. Once we ordered, we did not get our food for 35 minutes. Our waitress was nice but felt she could have acknowledged the long wait at some point, while we were waiting. She did not check on us until we flagged another worker down to ask about our order. This is why I gave the service 3 stars.
