I recently had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever encountered at this location. From the moment I approached the window, both employees displayed negative attitudes. The service was unprofessional, and I left feeling disrespected and taken advantage of. The first issue occurred when I received a side I did not order. When I politely requested the correct item, I was met with more attitude rather than a simple correction. Additionally, I paid for my order with cash and was not given a receipt. I also paid separately for a hot pepper, which I never received essentially meaning I was charged for something I did not get. To make matters worse, there was a gnat in my drink, which is absolutely unacceptable from a cleanliness and health standpoint. When I raised concerns, even the manager showed a dismissive and poor attitude not only toward me but also toward her employees. It’s deeply disappointing that basic condiments such as hot sauce and honey are not included with chicken and must be purchased separately. I was not informed of this upfront, and it felt like another way to nickel-and-dime the customer. Given this string of issues from poor customer service to unsanitary conditions and being short-changed.I strongly believe this location should be reviewed immediately by corporate. It is unacceptable that such low standards are allowed to continue. The owner should be aware of the numerous negative reviews and experiences being reported. Frankly, this establishment reflects poorly on the brand as a whole. I will not be returning to this location and urge others to proceed with caution.

We came off I 70 to eat Popeyes. Upon arrival we are like yeah. Two (2) cars no one in drive thru. Entered to wash hands and place order, bathroom locked. Stood at counter about 10 minutes waiting on a employee to get off phone. I said excuse me and he kept talking. The fry guy saw me taking his picture and told him to help me. He said not his job but did ask if anyone helped us? Said no. Then a young male came our asking what we were doing. Only open for drive thru. I said we walked in thru the doors that was open and he went to check it. Said drive thru only. No signage on door.. I said the sign right there in the lobby said carry out only. No it's wrong. You can only use drive thru. Said I could talk to manager when he returned This establishment needs adult leadership. Photos attached shows counter pile with Popeyes supplies and personal belongings. Bag had questionable objects in it. Then I called Popeyes corporate office and they didn't seem concerned about children being left alone it their stores. Popeyes is getting very lackadaisical in allowing employees to destroy their customer base. No matter how great a product is, substandard customer service stops business. Get better oversite on your stores please.

Never make the mistake of going here! We waited for 40 minutes in the drive thru line. I wish that was an exaggeration. There were only 5 cars in line. By the time we got to the window to get our food, the people preparing our order asked what we got. They weren't trying to be speedy, and catch up. I've actually never seen people move as slow as they did. There was no "sorry for your wait". The 4 people I witnessed working inside could care less. They had their 32oz qt soda and giant frozen frappe from another restaurant sitting in plain site while they prepared our food. Only one person worked to get the food ready. The others acted like it wasn't their job so they didn't need to help. They handed us our order and they had thrown the sides in. They would have spilled it everywhere if it wasn't old hardened food. The Mac and cheese was just a clump of melted shredded cheese, hardly any noodles could be found in it. To top it off, it was only 1/4 of the way full. The picture is of the Mac and cheese before we ate any of it. We will next return.

Not only is this store poorly run, the company as a whole is not doing a good job of running their business. After having several issues (listed below), I called the 1-800 customer service line at Popeye's main office to report the issues. I was told that someone would call me back to follow up and that never happened.

Every time I go there, my order is incorrect and I have to go inside to get it straightened out. They are always out of something when I visit. Once they were out of almost everything, so I asked what they did have and ordered that, since I could not wait. They still didn't fill my order. I could see the pieces of chicken I ordered just sitting under the warmer the whole time while employees stood around and chatted. I finally asked what the hold up was and she said she forgot she had everything to fill my order. They had burned the chicken, so the lobby was smoky. How does that happen? Everything should be on a timer. Once they had the drive-thru close and 2 other times the inside was closed, but there was no sign posting the lobby closure, so I watch MANY people (including a handicapper individual) keep trying the door confused as to why it was stuck and would not open. After finally getting to the window after waiting exactly 30 minutes in the drive-thru, I was told that two managers had already left earlier and I that a new manager had just come on. When the girl in the drive-thru told him that he should put a sign on the door, she was told 'It doesn't make any difference.' Seriously!!! What kind of response is that. She was smarter than the manager. She finally wrote a sign and put it on the door herself.

I've worked in fast food as a teen and my experience was that the managers stepped up when things got busy to ensure that customers did not have to wait.

I would still like someone from Popeye's to call me. They should have my...

With the introduction of their new chicken sandwich we went to this store to purchase and find out what all the hype was about. Once we arrived we noticed that only the drive-thru was open and doors were locked preventing anyone from inside. A posted sign on the entrance doors stated the store doesn't have enough employees, only the drive-thru would be open. We then waited in drive-thru line and placed our order. This experience took 30 minutes to get done and while we waited inline, we could see employees in the lobby areas on their cell phones. We arrived at the window to pay and receive our food order. The drive-thru window employee reviewed our order back to us, took our payment, then gave us our food order. We proceeded forward to allow other patrons behind us to get thru. My wife then checked the bag and discovered that we did not get all of our food purchase, not even 1/2 of it. I got out of the car and discovered once again that I could not enter the building as the doors were locked. I knocked repeatedly on the glass only to be ignored. My only recourse was to stand in harms way at the drive-thru window blocking vehicles from coming thru to get the attention of an employee about my order shortage. The store manager unlocked the door allowing me inside to correct the order. He filled the complete order and then walked me back out to re-lock the door once more. This experience has soured my outlook on how Popeye's manages their businesses. While I love their food, I will not return.

Popeye's has a lot to learn when dealing with customers positive experiences. I will continue to patronize their direct competition as my experiences there are always satisfying. They quickly process their orders, the food is always temperature accurate and delicious, and it always ends with their employees telling me it was a...

This location(Lake St. Louis, MO) has been a HUGE disappointment. I love Popeyes & since my house is 5 minutes tops from this location, it's needless to say I was excited. My first couple of visits went smooth & as expected, but things started heading downhill quickly.....like an avalanche. Where should I start.....45 minute wait in the DRIVE-THRU with 3 cars ahead of me(didn't have chicken wings or apple pies), 1 hour 15 minute wait inside for a to-go order(3 chicken tenders and a chicken sandwich & they didn't have chicken tenders), 50 minute wait inside for a to-go order(chicken tenders and chicken sandwich) and a few more visits where the wait was outrageous and they were out of things commonly ordered(chicken tenders, chicken wings etc). It seems as if they are ALWAYS out of items and the wait is ALWAYS absolutely unacceptable. I'm truly shocked their corporate hasn't intervened(maybe they have??) because this location is a bad look for the company. It's well known in my area that this location is pretty bad(just read the reviews). After a long break, I reluctantly went back tonight because my wife wanted it. I went through the drive thru and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and was promptly told they are out of chicken sandwiches smh. I should've known better. Get it together Popeye's of Lake St. Louis, MO. This location could be a goldmine, if it were ran efficiently. **One more thing, the employees are very nice and the ones I encountered seemed frustrated about the lack of items available. Probably because they get yelled and fussed at throughout their shifts from frustrated customers. Edit my wife is heading back up there now because her chicken wings are not fully cooked. We are done with...
