Not only is this store poorly run, the company as a whole is not doing a good job of running their business. After having several issues (listed below), I called the 1-800 customer service line at Popeye's main office to report the issues. I was told that someone would call me back to follow up and that never happened.
Every time I go there, my order is incorrect and I have to go inside to get it straightened out. They are always out of something when I visit. Once they were out of almost everything, so I asked what they did have and ordered that, since I could not wait. They still didn't fill my order. I could see the pieces of chicken I ordered just sitting under the warmer the whole time while employees stood around and chatted. I finally asked what the hold up was and she said she forgot she had everything to fill my order. They had burned the chicken, so the lobby was smoky. How does that happen? Everything should be on a timer. Once they had the drive-thru close and 2 other times the inside was closed, but there was no sign posting the lobby closure, so I watch MANY people (including a handicapper individual) keep trying the door confused as to why it was stuck and would not open. After finally getting to the window after waiting exactly 30 minutes in the drive-thru, I was told that two managers had already left earlier and I that a new manager had just come on. When the girl in the drive-thru told him that he should put a sign on the door, she was told 'It doesn't make any difference.' Seriously!!! What kind of response is that. She was smarter than the manager. She finally wrote a sign and put it on the door herself.
I've worked in fast food as a teen and my experience was that the managers stepped up when things got busy to ensure that customers did not have to wait.
I would still like someone from Popeye's to call me. They should have my...
Read moreWith the introduction of their new chicken sandwich we went to this store to purchase and find out what all the hype was about. Once we arrived we noticed that only the drive-thru was open and doors were locked preventing anyone from inside. A posted sign on the entrance doors stated the store doesn't have enough employees, only the drive-thru would be open. We then waited in drive-thru line and placed our order. This experience took 30 minutes to get done and while we waited inline, we could see employees in the lobby areas on their cell phones. We arrived at the window to pay and receive our food order. The drive-thru window employee reviewed our order back to us, took our payment, then gave us our food order. We proceeded forward to allow other patrons behind us to get thru. My wife then checked the bag and discovered that we did not get all of our food purchase, not even 1/2 of it. I got out of the car and discovered once again that I could not enter the building as the doors were locked. I knocked repeatedly on the glass only to be ignored. My only recourse was to stand in harms way at the drive-thru window blocking vehicles from coming thru to get the attention of an employee about my order shortage. The store manager unlocked the door allowing me inside to correct the order. He filled the complete order and then walked me back out to re-lock the door once more. This experience has soured my outlook on how Popeye's manages their businesses. While I love their food, I will not return.
Popeye's has a lot to learn when dealing with customers positive experiences. I will continue to patronize their direct competition as my experiences there are always satisfying. They quickly process their orders, the food is always temperature accurate and delicious, and it always ends with their employees telling me it was a...
Read moreThis location(Lake St. Louis, MO) has been a HUGE disappointment. I love Popeyes & since my house is 5 minutes tops from this location, it's needless to say I was excited. My first couple of visits went smooth & as expected, but things started heading downhill quickly.....like an avalanche. Where should I start.....45 minute wait in the DRIVE-THRU with 3 cars ahead of me(didn't have chicken wings or apple pies), 1 hour 15 minute wait inside for a to-go order(3 chicken tenders and a chicken sandwich & they didn't have chicken tenders), 50 minute wait inside for a to-go order(chicken tenders and chicken sandwich) and a few more visits where the wait was outrageous and they were out of things commonly ordered(chicken tenders, chicken wings etc). It seems as if they are ALWAYS out of items and the wait is ALWAYS absolutely unacceptable. I'm truly shocked their corporate hasn't intervened(maybe they have??) because this location is a bad look for the company. It's well known in my area that this location is pretty bad(just read the reviews). After a long break, I reluctantly went back tonight because my wife wanted it. I went through the drive thru and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and was promptly told they are out of chicken sandwiches smh. I should've known better. Get it together Popeye's of Lake St. Louis, MO. This location could be a goldmine, if it were ran efficiently. **One more thing, the employees are very nice and the ones I encountered seemed frustrated about the lack of items available. Probably because they get yelled and fussed at throughout their shifts from frustrated customers. Edit my wife is heading back up there now because her chicken wings are not fully cooked. We are done with...
