I decided to try the food at Americanos after reading the reviews. I’m a nursing student at a school about 3 miles away from the restaurant, I don’t live in the neighborhood and I don’t drive. It was about 55 mins walk according to Google map, so I used Uber. Few minutes after placing my order with the bartender, I asked him how long it would take for my order to be ready because I wanted to order Uber ride back to campus, and he said 7-10 mins.

I requested Uber ride which took 15 mins to get to Americanos restaurant. 5mins before my ride got there I asked the bartender how much longer my food was going to take because my ride will be there in 5mins, he said “oh I will go check, it’s probably ready now”. One min before Uber got there I told the bartender that my ride was gonna pull up any second and I need to start heading outside, that’s when he actually checked and came back to say the food would take more time. The Uber driver already texted me a little over a minute and I replied that I would be right out, thinking I only need to grab my food from the bartender. So I told the bartender that I can’t wait any longer because my ride is by the door waiting for me. I waited another min or two while the bartender canceled my order, then it hit me how unfair the whole thing was, I ordered Uber to get food and I’m paying for another ride back with no food. I called the manager with my complaint three times, and each time the manager gets on the phone I was put on hold and the call hung up on me. I tried again the fourth time and when she got on the phone I asked if this was how she treated her customers and she said “we don’t treat anyone like this, if you want to talk to me you can come back and we sit down and talk. I can’t be on the phone this long, I have a job to do I’m sorry” and the call dropped.

I write this review hurt, tired & hungry. Not in the least satisfied or happy about the treatment I got from Americanos. I got out of class to go get some food and head back to campus to study for exam I have the following day, but ended up paying $26.57 with no food and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I sure wouldn’t be going back to Americanos, not that they...

I have never been so disappointed in an establishment in all my years. Americanos used to be one of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood. I never had a problem with service or management and would brag to my friends about this place until recently. When I walked in I wasn't greeted by workers, nobody acknowledged me until they noticed I sat at a table for a larger party. I invited a few friends to meet me for food and drinks after work. We are all working professionals just looking to unwind and chat about our day. It quickly went downhill when we noticed we seemed to be bothering the server when asking for something so simple as napkins. The server brought two napkins for a party of five and looked shocked when we asked for more. Mind you, we are the only party in the restaurant at this time, so I'm not sure why it was such a bother to service us. A person in my party asked for one accommodation after spending quite a bit of money. We were told by management that they don't make accommodations anymore amongst other things. I tried talking to the manager to get a better understanding, and he spoke to me in the most disgusting tone I've ever been spoken to. I thank my group mates for keeping a clear mindset during this situation because there is no reason why we should have been addressed in such a way, especially by management. Needless to say, we got the check and moved on to more accommodating establishment in the neighborhood. The saddest part is that one of my friends drove an hour to come to this establishment just to be treated terribly. I am embarrassed that I suggested this restaurant....

Nice Bar with Tacos and Tortas to eat. Went for dinner on a friday at 5 p.m. Decent crowd but place was mostly empty bc it's big. Started with chips and guacamole which was good. Had Pork and steak tacos. Pork taco was served to me at room temperature, not even a little warm, and the Tortilla was right out of the package, not heated or anything. As for taste it was just okay. Steak had decent flavor but again the tortilla sucked. Asked for salsa and they said they only had hot sauce, which I really liked. Wife had a strawberry jalepeno margarita to drink which she liked, I thought it was okay. I had a Modelo. Good variety of Mexican drinks on the menu. Overall, wish the food was better especially since they only have 2 choices. Told waiter about tacos being cold but they didnt care, he said he told the chef. The place was clean and staff wasn't lazy. I'd go back for drinks if a friend wanted to go and maybe try an appetizer, but you can get a better taco almost anywhere else which sucks bc I live so close to this place. Hopefully next time I go there the food is better but right now it's a 2 star restaurant but...

Top tier bartender named Kristen! I ate alone at the bar and she was friendly, gave great recommendations. I know it's a Mexican restaurant and their pork belly tacos ARE amazing, but if you like Brussel Sprouts at all, GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS ENSALADA! And add brisket. Or Pork Belly. It's deep with avocado and queso fresco and the pickled onions. The hibiscus guajillo honey dressing is AMAZING and sets it all off so perfectly. They also make their own sour, so get a margarita! The ladies behind me were raving about their Elotes and Poblano tacos and their Chorizo and Sweet Potato tacos. TLDR: Anything with the brisket is good here! Mezcal Margherita is fresh, atmosphere is good, GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUT ENSALADA (with brisket or pork belly) or the pork belly or brisket tacos or branch out and try the Elotes and Poblano tacos. I've eaten in 5 states this week and the ensalada from here has been my favorite meal out of every single thing I've eaten.

I ordered the elotes tacos and when they arrived they were not good. They had a bizarre cheese sauce and frozen corn that was still a bit cold. I never once saw frozen corn when I lived in Mexico. Everything else that we ordered was delicious. When my server asked what the problem was I told him that there was frozen corn in my elotes. He asked me did I want something different. I told him I'd have the chicken tacos instead. He brought out chicken tacos that were amazing! Probably the best I've ever had. I told him I would pay for the chicken tacos and that I didn't expect free food, but he insisted on comping the tacos since the elotes ones weren't good. This place has excellent service and really good food. I would give them a try if you're in the neighborhood. We will definitely be back!

Parking around the corner, there’s a few one way streets so don’t miss a turn. Ample and free parking. A group of friends met up for brunch. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Delicious drinks, we ordered a couple pitchers of margaritas. Ordered the taco dinner $18 comes with 3 tacos (you can mix and match), rice and beans. Beans were flavorful. The pork belly taco was my favorite. Delicious, a little crunch but not hard to chew with just the perfect small cut of meat. My daughter enjoyed some guac and chips. Would recommend to come back again. Food is authentic Mexican. Bathrooms are clean and service was fast and friendly.
