J & J Fish And Chicken — Restaurant in Lake Township

Went there last night didn't know they were almost closed. They did take my order "thank you"... while I was waiting for my order I simply asked two questions about items I saw on the menu. Manager act like I was trying to order more food which simply was not true. Told me maybe I should come back when they're not closing. What the hell does that have to do with me asking about an item while I'm waiting for my food to cook that I already paid for?! Maybe if you didn't want to serve me you should lock the door or not taken my money for an order. What was I supposed to do while I'm patiently waiting for my food to cook... not look at the menu?Then maybe you should have covered it! Never thought simple questions like "When's the next time you'll have Oysters" or "What kind of rice is that on the menu" were taboo. Food-wise chicken was good.... This is the best J&J. I used to live in Beverly and this was my go to spot for fried chicken for over 10 years. I relocated to the west burbs and we don't have any good chicken places out here. I visit J&J almost every time I drive into the city. Even if I've eaten elsewhere, I stop and pick up chicken to take home. The food is always hot and fresh. The customer service is also excellent. Sometimes the parking can be difficult due to the other businesses but its not a deterrent. I've never had a bad experience with service or food. This remains my favorite...

I had jj fish on December 27th about 6pm. I always get my catfish from this location 109th western, and it was always great! However, yesterday the fish was dry and there was more skin than actually meat. I mean it was almost no meat, just skin. The fish was cooked in burnt grease I could taste it.
