See Thru Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Lake Township

First, I would like to say I have been patronizing this establishment since opening in my neighborhood. The food was great and the service was fast including delivery. For the past year, I noticed a shift in quality of food as well as most importantly the customer service has diminished significantly. There are two women that work regularly; a older very rude and entitled woman and a younger clueless woman. When you ask them questions they act like you are bothering them at there "job". Recently, I noticed the sales tax was slightly higher than 10.25% Chicago sales tax. Today, I decide to do the math and I was right..it's 10.90%. I asked the younger girl to confirm the sales tax, she stated 10.25%. So, I said you charged me 10.90% and I showed my calculations. Her response was " I don't make the rules". We went to grab a quick bite at the See Thru in my new neighborhood. I used to go to the one on Cottage Grove. I paid and have a practice of checking my receipt to see if I was charged the correct tax. Sure enough, the tax was way higher than it should have been.(10.25%) I told the gentleman at the register and calculated the tax again in front of him. He kept saying he didn't know what the tax should be and to talk to the boss. I just wanted him to refund the difference. He cops an attitude so I leave. I’m sorry guys but this food is SO BAD! Please do not waste your money. I ordered chicken fried rice and I am AMAZED that anyone can mess up chicken fried rice the way they did. The first piece of chicken tasted SPOILED! I instantly spit it out. Of course, I decided to try another piece and was chewing on chicken like it was bubble gum! I couldn’t believe it. If I want to chew until my jaw is sore, I will order steak well done 😂 but that’s not what I was looking for. 0/10. Pretty sure they are using cheap precooked cubed chicken straight out of the bag.
