La Fiesta Bakery — Restaurant in Lake Township

This was my first time at this bakery. I went in with my daughter and grandson to buy Mexican bread. When you walk in you see a money transfer place inside the bakery. Then you see the bakery which is split in half. One side is the bakery and the other side is a restaurant. In the refrigerated section they had cakes but they looked old and a couple were collapsing. In the bread section the chocolate conchas were not appealing they were a darker color than I'm used too.The bread didn't look fresh and they were kept inside a see thru cabinet. The cabinets shelves were built with an angle on the second and third shelf. It looks like they were built like that intentionally so when you grabbed a cookie, the one in the back would slide quickly forward falling to the floor. I bought some doughnuts,churros and other miscellaneous bread. After I paid my daughter wanted to try her doughnut. It tasted like old bread with terrible quality chocolate on top. I tried a churro and it tasted like a soggy sugary bread. It saddens me that this bakery makes poor quality bread and people still buy from this bakery. So I order the atomic cake with ubereats, which is the chocolate cake with a little bit of cheesecake filling.I don't really like pure cheesecake by itself, I like more of a chocolate cake but the little fillling in there makes it a little creamer. Anyway my Uber order comes and instead of two Atomic cakes I see two slices of pure cheesecake. I called the business right away to tell them they got my order wrong and they told me that since they ran out of atomic cake they put this in there instead. When my Uber came to pick up my order they could have simply just asked the person to call me and say they have no cakes but they didn't they just sent me what they thought I wanted instead of what I actually wanted. I'm here on clinical rotation so I have no car to go back and get my money back , they said they have no delivery person to come exchange it, and I'm sure not going to pay for Uber to go back so I just tried the slice to see if it was okay. They ruined my sister’s baby shower cake. When they first brought out the cake the images on the cake were way too light you couldn’t see them, the the lady writes on the cake with this dark Blue icing that doesn’t go with the cake at all. So they offered to switch the images on the cake. So when they brought it back a second time there were dark blue spots on the top. At that point I told them not to mess with the cake any further so they end up putting the cake into a thin box and then taping other box on top. We didn’t even get down the street because the box she taped on top fell and wiped half the icing off of the cake. At this point my sister is in tears. So we called and they basically were like we don’t give out refunds. The cake wasn’t even worth the money she spent on it. So we go back a second time and the lady who’s there basically said she couldn’t fix the cake that well because she didn’t decorate the cakes. She basically smoothed it out and rewrote the name.
